A N G E L   I N   T H E   R A I N  ( feat. : C.Hope & J.Richter )

A collaboration with a music friend Encym (Roland)  Roland is one of the very few music friends I have had the pleasure of meeting face to face  (at a Tuesday Post gig hosted by the wonderful Georgina Brett). He is leaving London to return to his home city of Munich and the track is developed from some excellent samples that he sent me. These have been  radically developed/played in the app SpaceCraft and using an app version of a  reverb unit - RX950 (I used the physical version of this  on one my first ever tunes about 30 years ago). Anyway, back to the video at hand. I haven't been posting a lot lately which is due to the score to a small indie-video game I'm working on right now. It's an entry to the itch.io game-off and we had a month to start and finish a game. Besides work, the game and whatever else one has to do I've sadly neglected my social media outlets. While warming up to record some stuff for the game yesterday I made did this little improvisation that I thought would be fitting to the latest improvs.

I've been using the Vigier Shawn Lane Excalibur on this one, going into the 'When the sun explodes' by Beautiful Noise Effects into the BLuguitar Amp1 which goes into the Bluguitar Blubox which then goes straight to the mixer. 

I've got a Mooer A7 in the FX Loop, as well as a 'Shallow Water' by Fairfield Circuitry (prominently featured on the loop) and the Boss DD-20 for the loop

As I'd set up the loop and started recording (using the Dark Star, Mood, and Avalanche Run mostly), I left the studio to get a phone call. When I came back it was still playing with those lovely textures having changed and continuing to change ever so slightly. So I left it running and the result is this track.

"Rainbow from pole to equator" (chukchi reggae). I want to dedicate this track to my grandmother, who turned into a rainbow. This quilt is also dedicated to her. I sewed it last summer when she was still alive. The recording was attended by:
