Based in Cologne / Germany the career of the highly prolific producer Arado, better known as Mo to his friends, suddenly and immediately skyrocketed after the release of his very first single in late 2009. 

When his single "Uganda Express" launched via Loco Dice's very own Desolat-imprint and made its way into the sets of every major player including the likes of Sven Väth, Marco Carola, Adam Beyer and of course the labels head honcho Loco Dice everything changed within the blink of an eye and Arado found himself at the very beginning of what soon should be an international career as DJ and producer. 

Teaming up with Marco Faraone for the follow up "Strange Neighbours" on Moon Harbour Recordings Arado landed another smash in 2010 that's still a beloved go-to classic for famed DJ's like The Martinez Brothers, Matthias Tanzmann, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati and many more even today whilst being praised by the press as a great example for highly sophisticated House music produced in Germany around the time of its release. 

These two big tunes paved the way for a continuous string of singles put on the circuit via labels like Allinn, where he kicks out another hit track R.U.W.M, and he goes on with Serious Kitchen, Area Remote, Wow! Recordings, Sanity, Cr2 Recordings, Stil Vor Talent, Dame Music, Snatch Records, Avortre or Etruria Beat as well as Italy's hottest Moan Recordings whilst Arado also was busy crafting remixes for prolific artists like Hector Couto, Klangkuenstler, Pascal FEOS, Martinez, Marco Faraone, Antonio Pica, Yaya, and many others.

Arado's constant search for the most perfect groove alongside true deepness is his trademark when it comes to production approach. Paired with a masterly sculpted sound and a feel for a surprising, yet highly coherent arrangement this is the reason why his tunes usually stand the test of time and are still on heavy rotation years after their original release.

The same goes for his sound as a world touring DJ that still holds on to local residencies and his core fanbase in venues like the 102 Club in Neuss and Cologne's Heinz Gaul where he regularly played over the course of the past eight years. 

In 2009 Arado also touched down for a residency at the legendary Space / Ibiza where he still remains a staple within the clubs roster up to this day whilst also covering slots in famed venues like Sankeys or Privilege which have been hot spots on the island ever since.

Collecting air miles week in week out Arado has also wowed masses at festivals like Extrema Festival,Thaibreak, WMC Miami, Sonar Barcelona as well as Parookaville, Tomorrowland and Panama Festival, smashed stages at further open air events like Kiesgrube Neuss, Woodstock69, Pollerwiesen or the famed Street Parade in Zürich whilst regularly playing to his growing fan base in Asia or stopping by for a set in New York, at Cafe D'Anvers (NL) as well as Italian clubs like Tini Soundgarden or Tenax.

▌I Hat sich deine Art und Weise und vielleicht auch dein Stil Musik zu machen geändert?
Ja ich denke in diesen fast 30 Jahren hat sich meine Art und Weise schon mehrmals geandert da sich die Technologie sehr schnel nach vorne bewegt . Musikalisch war ich schon immer sehr offen . Ich spiele gerne verschieden Genres und probiere auch gerne mal etwas anderes aus.


▌II Verwendest du neue Technologie oder bist du eher klassisch unterwegs?
Ich verwende sehr gerne neue Technologien jedoch bin ich sehr froh dass ich gewisse alte Angewohnheiten sehr pflege . Ich mag eigentlich beides.

▌III Wie sieht ein normaler Tag bei dir aus? Von deiner Morgenroutine, Arbeit und deinem Abend?
Ich stehe meistens um 6 Uhr auf und arbeite 3 bis 4 stunden im Studio . Morgens geht das immer am besten wenn mein Kopf frisch ist. Um 10 Uhr bis Mittags gehe ich jeden Tag ins Fitness . Dieser Ausgleich brauch ich . Das mache ich allerdings erst seit 2 Jahren . Nach der Mittagspause erledige ich auch kleine Dinge im Studio . Abends triff ich mich gerne mit Freunden jedoch bin ich um 22 Uhr schon meistens platt.
Diese gesunden Angewohnheiten werden natuerlich am Freitag sowie Sastag nicht gepflegt :-) .

BIOGRAFIE SASCH BBC english

Contrary to common belief Sascha Ries aka Sasch BBC is not a branch of british broadcasting, but nevertheless his name also stands for splendid entertainment. He delivers delicious music from Germany’s Rhein-Main-Area. Deep-seated in there are the roots of the current Loft resident, which shaped the mentality of his sound since the beginning.

In young years, Sascha was electrified by the precursors of today’s electronic scene like Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb. The desire for spinning records himself and encouraging a crowd to dance grew and was rewarded with his first residency in the age of 16 (1993) – in a time when pegging styles was not a common practice, when Techno was simply Techno and even House and Happy Breakbeats didn’t get in line. Around that time Sascha utilized an Amiga-computer to make his first steps in musical production. And for the people’s pleasure, a lot of tapes were mixed these days. Additional versatility was also proven by him in discjockey activities beyond his electronic paths. He put his mixing skills to work for the hip hop band “Noname Produkt” and released 2 CDs in collaboration wth them. But in spite of this detours his heart was always heavily beating in 4/4-steps – House and Techno. 

So in 2003 he came along the residency in the Loft Club Ludwigshafen, which remains true until today. And his impulsive sets were decisive for direct support of Sven Väth, Loco Dice, Ricardo Villalobos, Magda, Marco Carola, Richi Hawtin and many other top-class DJs. Sascha became iconic in the widely acclaimed Loft Club. Meanwhile in 2003, the event label “Envy My Music” offered him to take an additional residency in Frankfurt’s innovative Monza Club. He easily decided to do so. And by now he conquered almost all electronic clubs around the Rhein-Main-Area. On top of this his career has been elevated by playing sets at Time Warp 07 to 16! “Music has to be fun” isn’t only his often repeated mantra, it’s also a quality receptible in his sets. Heavily affected by the locally specific minimalistic Deephouse sound, he spreads his music up to groovy and funky House, Techhouse, Indie Dance and 80’s Synth Pop – but always with a certain element of high temper. Dark and blut just simply never was his thang. His music was released on such labels as 8 Bit, Great Stuff, Whatiplay, Disco Halal, Bar 25, Plastic City, Brise, Noir, Sleazy Deep, Sinope, Cimelde and Viva Music, Dear Deer....
