Bio: Electro producer Boris Divider develops a dark-minimal Electro style as a consequence of the man-machine atmosphere, the vision of an automated society and a world controlled by machines.
Born in Madrid (1975), his influences come on the one hand from the first ebm waves and the dark electronic scene and on the other hand from the old school electro and hiphop movement that appeared on the streets of his city in the early nineties, of course influences from the Electro founders Kraftwerk, or refreshing Anthony Rother´s earlier work as well as concrete sci-fi films and books like Blade Runner or Ghost in the Shell help him to reflect his vision. It was in 1992 when he started to make music with computers, sequencers and synths creating a several electronic projects. But finally Electro catched his attention at the end of nineties.

In late 2001 he joins the hi-top Anthony Rother´s label, where it was expected to be released a minialbum called "Integrated-Lifes" written and produced in year 2000. But he was officially presented as a PSI49NET artist in early 2002 through the Electro Commando 1 "Welcome To PsiCity" compilation, the track called "Terminal City" reflected a little sample from the forthcoming minialbum that finally could not see the light on PSI49NET but soon will do thanks to Monotone USA label in an adapted 4 track 12" ep format.

2003 was the year when he brought to the light his main project called DRIVECOM to give Electro the impulse it deserves and keep the essence of the dark and minimal taste that aimed him to start on this. Now four references include producers such as Scape One, Unborn, Dark Vektor, Ideograma or Micro Controlled Corporation aside from own productions getting a very good response around the electro community and turning the label as the most important reference of Electro in Spain.  Releases such as "People Love Machines" or "Dark Robot Forces" has been charted and spinned by the most important electro dj´s and also during 2004-2005 special tracks have appeared on compilations: Mad Electronics (V2 records) and new Miami OMNIAMM label.

Actually his powerfull hardware live act is combined with the amazing 3D visuals made by Capsula crew and has received a high rating from the audience. Collaborations are in process as well and he is developing always stuff for other labels such as Satamile (NYC), Monotone USA, or MSX... that will bring a new taste to the electro scene.

Bytecon aka Opbrouck Stijn was born the fourth of August 1976 and grew up in a small village in Belgium. At a very young age he started to create music as guitarist, bassist and singer in several local bands. After a long time
of playing in those bands he bought a small drumcomputer and composed songs
with it. As electronic instruments were getting better Bytecon was able to produce more complete tracks and he decided to try out what it would be to perform solo. At that time he discovered bands like Front 242, Nitzer ebb, Frontline Assembly,... those bands already used electronic instruments and
Bytecon found a solution for his creations. By getting deeper into the knowledge of how to handle electronic equipment, Bytecon created contacts in the Belgium electronic music scene and he visited some parties with them. New influences were getting into his music and he tried to combine everything together. His most typical elements became dark fat synths,basses, guitars and samples mixed with arpeggios, vocoded voices and robotic electrorythms. The result could be called "dark fat electro". After a longtime of experimenting with those elements Bytecon was able to do some try outs. 0ne of those sessions was recorded and came to hands of a member of Radar records. Shortly after that, they asked him to release some tracks of it on Radar. The record was presented at Midem 2001 and there a worldwide
distribution came trough for it. Some time after the record came out there were different demands to do gig's in Germany, France and Czech Republic. He had the chance to try out different tracks and to feel what really worked.
Then it took two years of experience to build on the quality of the music because Bytecon is very critical about it and always wants to reach higher levels. In 2003 he sent the so called "T-wrex demo" to different electro labels and there was a huge response on it. The best contract to sign was
from Satamile records, a New York based electro label. The record comes out around september 2003 (later on this year Bytecon plays in U.S. to promote his E.p.).

The grinding acid assemblage of the best cuts from NYC's biggest Electro label on this their retrospective comp, is speckled with unreleased goodies and tracks from as far back as 96. Prepare yourself for heavy , bass-driven electro. This ain't no minimal experimental album. Even breaks heads will love tracks like Scape Ones "Android robotics," while Decals "From the Inside" can do some serious dance floor damage. An emotional ride with EMS's "Take my Time" takes the edge off of the overall acid feel of this album. Remember your squatting days in that abandoned industrial site? This was your Soundtrack!

Not enough can be said about one of Canada's most creative intelligent Electro producers of recent times. Lofish standing for Lo Fi Ish equipment, allways using the bare minimum to maximize his creative potential. Lowfish is the pioneer of this sound long before the train jumpers saw it coming, a sonic hybrid of Electro, New Wave and even some subtle house influences. Along with his personal work is the Label owned and operated by both Lowfish and Solvent , Suction Records. These two artist represent the underground Electro scene in proper style by producing and running their own indy label with vinyl release's. Hats off to the boysz from Canada. 
This is Lowfish at his best, adrenaline fueled electro/wave/disco creating that special Lowfish hybrid electro sound.

Dark Intelligent Electro: Certain record labels have stretches where they can do no wrong, and right now Satamile is going through one of those Halcyon periods. When it comes to Electro, if the name Satamile is one the labe, the record is guaranteed to be good. the labels latest offspring, Lowfish's "Burn the Lights Out", is no exception. Lowfish aka Gregor de Rocher, kicks off his fifth album sounding like a dark side kraftwerk with "999", a track full of industrial strength bass and a robotic voice that repeats "999", from there , it would be easy to pummel the listener into submission with more brutal electro, but Lowfish smartly blends aggressive dance grooves with more cerebral fare, resulting in an album with just as much appeal for the clubs as i has for mre listiening.  At times , like on "Krak" and especially on "8_oP", Lowfish takes electro to its darkest depths, and delivers planet crushing bass beneath the robot rhythms. At other time Lowfish pushes the analog snyths to their limits to create melodic synthpop, instrumentals like "Pristine White".  The albums title track brings these two instrumentals like "pristine White'. The albums title track brings there two styles together on a cut thats dark, deep and melodic. Punishing or melodic  Lowfish uses a lo-fi production aesthetic to show that great dance music can still be made today with yesterdays technology. Review by: Daniel Slaten

"Toneworks" by Silicon Scally

Carl has been writing and recording music since 1986 but his first real record involvement was co writing and producing Moments of Inertia by Circle City on Warp in 1993. After a year or so working with Leeds indie band The Bridewells and culminating in an album with them recorded in Roxy Music's studio, he settled down into writing and producing dance music. In 1994 he and DJ Ralph Lawson set up 2020 Vision Records, producing deep house flavours of their own as Wolf and Flow and under his own solo guise of Random Factor, remixing artists from around the globe including Blaze, Josh Wink, Superman Lovers and Fatboy Slim. His solo work is heavily electro tinted, reflective of the Kraftwerk era but owing as much to the likes of Drexciya, Prince, Depeche Mode and Yello. During the mid 90s he teamed up with SCSI founder Daz Quayle and wrote under the name Scarletron and also as Black Labs with two releases on Thomas Heckmann's Trope Recordings around 1995. Working under the names of Random Factor (2020 Vision) Voice Stealer (Subvert) and more recently Silicon Scally (SCSI, Satamile) he has released music on labels including Warp, Fuel, Playhouse, Paper, Trope, Sony, Klang, Arista, Soma, Pagan and Minifunk. He is also a keen remixer in his own right, having reworked tracks by 2 Lone Swordsman, Luke Slater, Swayzak, Dave Tipper and Alexi Delano. 2002 saw the release of the critically acclaimed Mr. Machine album on SCSI recordings. In 2003 the combined EP's on Device Entertainment Recordings were released as the album Electrilogy+ under his real name, Carl A Finlow. Shortly after this release, he moved to Paris.

Tipper (real name David Tipper, born ca. 1976[1]) is a British composer and producer specializing in electronic music that ranges from Ambient, through Trip Hop, to uptempo Nuskool Breakbeat. His live performances consist largely of his own unreleased compositions, and he is highly regarded for scratching his own sounds over his music, creating a live element of turntablism stemming from prowess early in his career as a vinyl DJ.

Career
He is widely respected as a Surround Sound composer, releasing one of the first albums composed, produced, and intended for the DualDisc format, in addition to providing content for multichannel[disambiguation needed ] music industry leaders DTS, Inc.. His talents at Sound Design (his work is included in several of the major music making software programs[2]), and in Digital Audio Mastering, are also in great demand. His catalog has been consistently licensed for use as background in a variety of mainstream television programs,[3] and also featured in commercials[4] and cable television projects.
Tipper was ‘discovered’ as a teenager DJing in a London nightclub by soon to be manager Richie Warren. Their earliest conversations centered on bass frequencies and rhythms underlying beats, and they began researching the science involved in creating the most effective dance music. An arranged meeting with Funktion-One sound guru Tony Andrews imbued Tipper’s ongoing and unwavering philosophy of producing the highest quality of music,[5] and delivering this sound to the best of its capability. Richie founded Fuel Records (UK), and Tipper released the first of several vinyl EP’s in 1997. Renault licensed one of these, Twister, for a European Ad campaign. Soon thereafter, Sony UK signed Tipper to their fledgling dance music label, Higher Ground.
Higher Ground
In the late 90’s Tipper completed numerous remix projects of his Higher Ground label mates, and released several singles, each highlighting his penchant for electronic dance music with extreme bass frequencies and intricate polyrhythms; this sound helped usher in a popular new music genre referred to as Nuskool Breakbeat, and Tipper is recognized as one of the pioneering producers of this movement. In 1999 Tipper released his first album The Critical Path. It was not, however, the ‘breakbeat’ dance record that the label hoped for. Tipper’s vision was decidedly more artistic than anticipated, confusing the label as to how to promote it, and disappointing sales led to an amicable parting of ways (with Sony).
The Fuel Years
During the late 90’s while Tipper was busy in the studio, Richie Warren & Co conceptualized The Fuel Sound System. This consisted of 2 identical black 1970's Dodge Challengers, both fitted with 6 x18" subwoofers (replacing where the back seats had previously been) and a Funktion One mid/tops speaker unit, that could be raised out of the trunk on hydraulics with the flick of a switch from the driver's dashboard. These cars were able to run independently, without the need for an electrical generator, using 6 batteries charged via an alternator salvaged out of a lorry. With a totally discreet and fully mobile sound system, the Fuel crew, assuming the role of sonic pranksters, began a pilgrimage of sound that took them on tour to various music festivals, parties & spontaneous gatherings, setting them up outside events and garnering much attention for the label and its artists. One of the ‘urban myths’ surrounding these appearances recounts the incident at the 1997 V Festival, when Richie Warren received complaints from The Prodigy's stage manager, because the band couldn't hear itself due to the excess volume.[6]
With this activity as a backdrop, Tipper released his second album Holding Pattern in early 2001. Many of the individual tracks from this album found their way into DJ boxes internationally, and accordingly Tipper began touring extensively through Europe, the USA and Australia. Reflecting his travels was the DJ Mix album Sound Off which he completed for Fuel later the same year. Tipper focused on the music, and Richie promoted a lifestyle – taking the cars wherever possible to create a happening around both.

While touring across the USA in 2003 with the Fuel Cars, Tipper began composing tracks for what would become his first album intended entirely as a surround sound listening experience. Surrounded was released in 2004 by fledgling 5.1 venture MyUtopia Recordings;[7] eventually nominated as Best Album Intended for Surround Sound [8] this Downtempo album also marked a turn in Tipper’s musical output away from the NuSkool genre which he was more widely associated with. It was during this period that digital music sales and/or reproduction usurped the music industry, and ultimately Fuel Records (UK) met its demise. As Tipper toured and performed his album in 5.1 wherever possible, Richie re-focused his talents towards advanced Auto parts, and Tipper set off on a non-stop touring schedule for two years, with London only a temporary base between tours. Constantly seen living out of his suitcase, and keeping his ‘studio’ in his backpack, earned him the temporary moniker The Global Nomad.
Late 2004 saw his Surrounded album re-released as a DualDisc title, and this in turn led to the creation of his personal MP3 Surround Sound Player,[9] by mp3 rights holders Fraunhofer Society. Highly regarded as one of the foremost composers in the multichannel[disambiguation needed ] realm, Tipper continues to provide content for an exclusive number of companies who use his highly detailed productions to demonstrate their own advanced technologies.

2005 witnessed the establishment of his own imprint Tippermusic (one word, not two), and he embraced the digital music revolution for the freedom it gave musicians to finally determine their own path. No longer constrained by label requirements, Tipper set about releasing his music independently, mostly via online stores. Some investment was made in CD’s and Vinyl, but ultimately online sales figures showed their declining relevance for his style of output.
Tipper began releasing albums at an accelerated rate. First off was the ground breaking Tip Hop, which focused on merging Hip Hop production with electronic trickery and helped usher in a new genre referred to as Glitch Hop. He immediately followed up with Relish The Trough which was material consisting of compositions from his catalog used primarily for his performances on tour. Both albums found favor in Hollywood, and a number of tracks were used as background in prime time television shows.[3]
His second full downtempo release The Seamless Unspeakable Something debuted in 2006, with Tipper in full guise as an electronica trip hop wizard; tracks from this album also found favor as background music on TV. In 2007 he digitally re-mastered his old vinyl catalogue and quietly released Fuel Years and Higher Ground to the delight of DJ’s globally who had been requesting the very same for years. In early 2008 he decided to make available more of his unreleased ‘performance catalogue’ and thus Tertiary Noise was ushered in.
His 9th studio album Wobble Factor would be unveiled later in 2008, and solidified Tipper’s influence on the burgeoning ‘glitch-hop’ musical movement, especially in the USA.[10] Shortly after its release, his health demanded his immediate focus, curtailing his studio time and forcing cancellation of all tour dates. While recuperating over time, he labored on his new ambient/downtempo LP The Broken Soul Jamboree . Four years in the making, this album showcases many facets of Tipper’s composition and production style, with striking artwork for the album cover and a limited edition poster accompanying the initial CD run.[11]

Beat junkie, producer and dj who has been moving minds galaxy wide for well over the past decade with his unique blend of dark sci-fi robot infected electro sounds for the dance floor. Being influenced by the early days of electro, breakdancing, hip hop, graff, and broken beat music such as Kraftwerk, Chakka khan, Newcleus, Styx, Egyptian Lover, Midnight Star, Lisa Lisa, Run DMC, Afrikka Bambatta, Edie Grant, Kurtis Blow, and many more talented artists.

In 1995 he purchased his first set of turntables self teaching the tactics and skills he would later use to rock party people on the dance floor world wide. Weekends soon became forest and full moon parties with beats and freaks dancing under the stars in the very beautifull northern Arizona countryside. In 1996 he moved to London to pursue his dreams of production and become submerged in the UKs underground electronic dance culture and music scene. While living in the UK he performed at his first massive event called World of Dance in Aug of 1996 under the name Neon Beat batteling the Psyconauts along side the bassest from Massive Attack and Big Darren, plus several smaller events and happenings in UK/EU area. Living across the street from the legendary Blue note club in Hoxton square near Old Street he was hitting some of the first of the METALHEADZ nights, FABRIC, the End, and many other underground events collecting inspiration and ideas to create urban influenced, BASSheavy electro robotik sounds geared towards the dance floor. Through a good friend he later met a couple of guys who were working on a little bedroom label at the time. They asked for some scratching over some of the projects they were working on. This label later became one of the most prominent breakbeat labels in the world now known as Finger lickin records. They released Soul of Man, Finger lickins first release, then soon after Finger lickin vol 1 Dj tool record bothe featuring ILLEKTROLAB scratching.

Djing under the name djl3go for the first part of his career he quickly made a name for himself on the underground rave/club circuit with his fluid scratching and mixing abilities plus playing free parties around various parts of the world passing out loads of demos to the beat junkies. In the year 2000 he was forced to change his name due to the L3GO toy corporation threatening him with a law suit. The decision was then made to activate his alter ego ILLEKTROLAB and spread the robot music to all open ears and minds possible. Since then he has performed on bills with many of the most influential and well known artists in the hip hop, electronic dance and uderground music scene such as Grandmaster Flash, Jazzy Jeff, Afrikka Bambatta, Kurtis Blow, Goldy, Perry Farrell of Janes Addiction, Lady Kier of D lite, Dj Craze, Massive Attack, Dynamix, Rabbit in the Moon, Dj Icey, Jackal and Hyde, Rhazel etc....... ILLEKTROLABS high energy performances, scratching, and darker style of production are known to move the crowd and tantilize the senses into a sonik assault of electromechanical madness. With the launch of his own label ADVANCED ROBOTIKS in 2008, (ADRO 01). A slamming release on Satamile records (SAT39) 2007, and a very impressive aresenal of unreleased tracks in his vault the future is looking very bassheavy and energized for the illektrokadet and his robot uprising. The sounds are spreading to every corner of the globe like an uncontrollable yet programmed sonik virus. During his explosive dj/live PA performances ILLEKTROLAB feeds off the music he plays and then projects that energy and adrenaline straight into the crowd creating a direct connection with the party people travelling with them on their galactic space journey into sound. Beat junkie, producer and dj who has been moving minds galaxy wide for well over the past decade with his unique blend of dark sci-fi robot infected electro sounds for the dance floor. Being influenced by the early days of electro, breakdancing, hip hop, graff, and broken beat music such as Kraftwerk, Chakka khan, Newcleus, Styx, Egyptian Lover, Midnight Star, Lisa Lisa, Run DMC, Afrikka Bambatta, Edie Grant, Kurtis Blow, and many more talented artists.

In 1995 he purchased his first set of turntables self teaching the tactics and skills he would later use to rock party people on the dance floor world wide. Weekends soon became forest and full moon parties with beats and freaks dancing under the stars in the very beautifull northern Arizona countryside. In 1996 he moved to London to pursue his dreams of production and become submerged in the UKs underground electronic dance culture and music scene. While living in the UK he performed at his first massive event called World of Dance in Aug of 1996 under the name Neon Beat batteling the Psyconauts along side the bassest from Massive Attack and Big Darren, plus several smaller events and happenings in UK/EU area. Living across the street from the legendary Blue note club in Hoxton square near Old Street he was hitting some of the first of the METALHEADZ nights, FABRIC, the End, and many other underground events collecting inspiration and ideas to create urban influenced, BASSheavy electro robotik sounds geared towards the dance floor. Through a good friend he later met a couple of guys who were working on a little bedroom label at the time. They asked for some scratching over some of the projects they were working on. This label later became one of the most prominent breakbeat labels in the world now known as Finger lickin records. They released Soul of Man, Finger lickins first release, then soon after Finger lickin vol 1 Dj tool record bothe featuring ILLEKTROLAB scratching.

Djing under the name djl3go for the first part of his career he quickly made a name for himself on the underground rave/club circuit with his fluid scratching and mixing abilities plus playing free parties around various parts of the world passing out loads of demos to the beat junkies. In the year 2000 he was forced to change his name due to the L3GO toy corporation threatening him with a law suit. The decision was then made to activate his alter ego ILLEKTROLAB and spread the robot music to all open ears and minds possible. Records in 1995 making his own modular synths, vocoders and drum machines for his electro productions.  Stephen Machnowski currently has 3 eps on Satamile Records and a full length 2x12. Following up on the original vinyl released earlier in 2004, the CD version of Synchronaut adds five new tracks. With a distinctively deep, dark analog sound that harkens back to a mix of early acid, Detroit techno, and classic Elektroids, the record is packed with the classic 4/4, relentless 16ths of percussion , and robotic vocals of the 80's b-boy sound. Brisk and biting, tracks like "Close Encounters" and "Get Ghetto" establish an oppressive futurist vision early. But "Plt_lounge_eur" is a lovely, almost nostalgic electro piece that lubricates the ear canals, being plush and synthetic at the same time, and "Rhthmus Machine" slows down to an introspective crawl, its sensuous knob-twiddling making the piece grow and rise like a post-massive dawn. EMS has put together these extra pieces with as much care and attention as his homemade instruments. Highly recommended.

The Blotnik Brothers

This Swedish trio are blazing a path into the future with oldskool, nuskool, floor burning electro-breaks tunes. Sounding out all the way from Malmo, Sweden
get ready for some of the most well produced , new and  interesting electro to come around for a long time.  The Blotnik Brothers make it look easy, think Chemical Brothers producing straight up electro , with tracks such as "Ergo" licensed by the likes of Dave Clark for his World Tour 2 LP.  What makes the Blotniks so special is their sound, its theirs to own and the invivible skill at which they present it to the listener.  They occupy a dark and at times warm , optomistic sonic wunderland full of fantasy and mystique, story tellers by their own right. After their firs two ep's on Satamile we are proud to present their first LP "Mizuage"a masterpiece of rythmic , tonal  variation that makes its mark on the world.  Allready "Mizuage" is charting nu 15 in the National College Radio charts for rpm (electronica). Surrounded by major labels this is a astonishing accomplishment.  
    The Blotnik Brothers are three friends that started recording and working together several years ago in Malmo, Sweden, Martin, Roberto, and Patrick. Each one has specific task in production. Roberto is really the head technician, Patrick writes and does the vocals while Martin helps with production and gives informative esthetic insight. All three are very creative with their talenst focused in different areas but converging together to produce the Blotnik Brothers.  Its quite rare to find three artist

Evil Break-Dance music: The Blotnik Brothers "Mizuage", is the kind of album you'd expect to hear blasting out of a Decepticon Night Club on the planet of Cybertron, assuming such a place even existed in the first place. This trio of  Swedes (who incidently, arent actually brothers at all) make dark, hard hitting electro that sounds like it came from another planet, the kind of planet either inhabited by intelligent robots or aliens who grew up listening to intercepted transmissions of Kraftwerk, Africa Bambata, and 90's EBM. Blending old school hip-hop,  neo-electro, acid breaks, and modern EBM, the Blotnik Brothers have created a dark and dirty album that bumps and booms with menacing bass stabs,  funky breaks, and evil robot vocals. There is very little filler to be found on this 11 track outing, and electro Dj's can pretty much pick and choose what they want to play from this release since about every cut is a surefire floor filler. Even EBM dj's might come across a few gems as well, like the menacing "Dont Worry You Won't Dissolve", which sound like it could have come off the latest Headscan release. Its no surprise that New Yorks Satamile Records picked up on this trio, since the label seems to have the market cornered on outstanding electro at the moment.

"Depth of Field" By the Blotnik Brothers for Satamile Records

Based in Dublin City , Ireland, DECAL has been pushing the sound barriers since 1993 with releases on Sabres of Paradise, RGC, Planet Mu, D1 and a slew of remixes, the music still flows and better than ever. Following their hit album "Brightest Star" on Andrew Weatheralls Rotter Golf Club imprint, is the latest Satamile release by DECAL: Release Through Velocity. This is electro with a soul and a not to Detroit. In true album form , this LP covers a lot of ground full throttle dancefloor assaults to harmonic android dreams. 
    "Surge" kicks in with surging waves of bass and driving rhythms.  "64 Guns" and "Final Statement" have an insectoid fee with stabbing staccato synths and bubbling bass that seems to fill the atmosphere around you with sonics. "Recall Edit" and "The Tide Will Turn" are emotional danefloor powerhouses with analog synths that build layer upon layer of sound that leave you pleasantly gasping away in a dreamy release of energy . "A Happy Home" is reminiscent of B12 with a bleepy melancholy audioscape to soothe the soul with smooth picturesque melodies and subtle textures.

"The Tide Will Turn" by DECAL for Satamile Rec.

Electro , what is it, and its  history with Satamile Records. Almost everyone in electronic music has heard of 
Kraftwerk, and it really was these Germans that set the DNA for which the genre of Electro would spawn in the years to follow. Electro during this time in the USA was more breakbeat oriented with a multitude of them coming out of NY, and later Hip Hop (much slower tempo) spawned partially from Electro. Much of the main inspiration came from Kraftwerk during its US tour at this time, early eighties. This DNA consisited of some certain defining charachteristics such as, Synthesizers, Sequencers, vocoders of which at this time were all analog. For gear, think Roland-909,808,606 (little electro firecracker), Oberheim, Doepfer, Juno-106 and Akai samplers. Another main characteristic to define Electro  was its heavy endeavor to Science Fiction or "into the future" characteristics.  Its important not to confuse Electro with Synth Pop, New Wave , Industrial or breaks, these are all seperate genres defined by their own unique DNA and fans  (Ecspecially Electro House, and ElectroClash, both of which are not Electro).  So in short, think pop-in and lock-in robots, on the Enterprise as they break it down for their head-spins into the future Galaxy. 

Satamile Records was born out of the Rave scene of the very early 90's, which in itself had qucikly adopted the Electro genre for the rave Events giving a boost and creation of countless Electro labels, that only released Electro. We are sort of a new Electro or hybrid electro is some case's taking the best from the past and creating a bigger and fuller sound for the times.  We also really owe alot to Ravers and Promoters during this time,  for their open minds ,DIY ethic and sharp foresight into "Whats Hot". It was these pioneers that supported so many new underground genres, such Breaks, Techno, Electro
Tekhouse, Dubtek (Minimal) and Ambient (IDM) and NOT the major label executives in their cushy offices so you  really have to give a bow to the first wave of ravers and the promoters,,,the best music entrepreneurs of their time. Many labels today simply would not exist today if these people did not support the music and the politics of Law did not stop these events from happening. 

In our early years Satamile was will on the way with its involvement in Electronic music production and live performance .  We were a consistent presence in the NY underground scene and alternative Club scene. Performing live with Modulars and drummachines, Dj'ing, throwing events, sponsoring Graphic artist for flyers, all of which re-presented in some way the new electronic culture.  Hosting nights at Filter 14 (Jacky 60), The Cooler, Baktun, The Kitchen, Gas Station, Robots, Open Air, and many more. We have produced over 400 Club events in NY city for artist such as Ellen Alien, ADULT, Monolake, Pole, 
Schematics, Tipper, Mixmaster Morris, Andrew Weatherall, Keith Tenniswood, Mark Broom, Orbital, Keith Tucker, and many more.

Staying true to its nature Satamile allways pressed Vinyl along with its CD release's. Vinyl is a superior medium, and the taste of DJ ' worldwide for its
superb qualities and usability.  We had CD's in the early 90's , but who wanted to play them, when you cold play vinyl instead, it was so much cooler than a 
CD, it spawned Train Spotting, and was far better for dj'ing. Toady most of our vinyl is pressed at Brooklyn Phono, 225,000 pounds per square inch. This is still true for today  so buy vinyl when you can it rules the night waves and you wont have to worry about your computer crashing on Final Scratch. 

Today satamile exist as one of the leading Electro labels in the world with over 25 artist from all around the world on the label it will be coming up on our 60th release shortly.  Along with the main label Satamile we also have sub-labels, Bot and SatRX  to serve different purposes, Bot for downtempo projects, and SatRX for remix's.
