The first track off of my upcoming album "Slivers of Light". This track, as all of them are on the album, has a certain message and meaning. We all struggle with depression and anxiety and it can often lead to suicidal thoughts. This song is a depiction of the battle that goes on in our mind between our different thoughts.  "One of these days, it will all be over" the first voice says as the dark thoughts set in, the next words are "I said we ain't going to cry" reminding us to stay strong and not let the little things work us up. As the song and thoughts progress, Nas chimes in and says "life is a bitch and then you die", the dark thoughts start to come back and the energy picks up in the song. As we move closer to the end, a pleasant voice says "we cry sometimes", "I want to get to know the scene" and keeps reminding us to "Hold on". The final words in the songs are "nothings going to stop me baby, no no no no" as our mind starts to see why we need to continue on and brings us confidence for our journey ahead.
