Mike Martinez is a Brooklyn-based progressive house DJ and co-founder of So It Goes. While living in the Bay Area in 2015, Mike attended his first underground event where John Digweed played a 6-hour extended set in San Francisco. The experience was eye-opening for him as he immediately began attending more house/techno shows continuously blown away by artists like Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, and Patrice Baümel. At the start of 2016, a year into attending shows, Mike began collecting tracks and taught himself the art of DJ-ing.
With underground house/techno becoming an obsession, he quickly found that the local progressive house scene was not as prevalent as other genres like Tech and Deep House so he and his friend Salvador M created their own collective/platform, So It Goes. 

Since forming So It Goes in 2017, they created a podcast on SoundCloud by inviting guests to record 1-2 hour mixes and also curating their own DIY events in both Oakland and San Francisco. Fast forward to today, their DIY events organically grew in the East Bay while their online radio show is now followed by thousands of listeners on SoundCloud.

Through So It Goes, Mike has integrated himself within the scene with the hopes that he can continue evangelizing forward-thinking and emotive house/techno in the United States.
