Torü Szafar [ @toruszafar ] is an Australian DJ and producer renowned for his ability to merge deep grooves that sway the hips with morphing layers that bend the mind.

With over 7 years of experience in the industry, Torü has graced the stages of Naarm/Melbourne's vibrant club nights and festivals (also formerly as part of duo - fütwerk), supporting top artists with his hypnotic rhythms and ethereal melodies. Now based near Byron Bay, Torü is already making waves in the area being booked for various local festivals and club-shows. He is motivated to continue infusing the coastal scene with quality sounds and his unique blend of frequencies.

Inspired by his natural surroundings, Torü's music reflects the beauty and energy of the Australian landscape. His recent venture, Zanda Rec, a record label and event series, promises to champion emerging talent and push the boundaries of electronic music further, reflecting Torü's unwavering commitment to innovation and sonic exploration.

Following up his debut solo release last year on Portuguese label @frequencia-introspectiva, Torü's next release sees him releasing another single on a compilation for another Portuguese label, @atmos_lab. This tribal, deep hypnotic techno groover will be out in the next month!

Currently he is in the studio finishing up the debut release for his own imprint, Zanda Rec. This is set to be a 6 track EP, with 4 originals and 2 remixes.

In the events space, after a successful launch party for Zanda in Feb this year, Torü has just launched his next event which is a collaboration with friend and fellow DJ/Producer Davi Bangma. This will be taking place on Saturday May 11 in the hinterland of Byron Bay and feature Davi and Torü on the lineup!

@floating-machine (Antonio Lourenço) is an electronic music producer from Portugal who ventures into the experimental ambient techno realm. His music is a captivating blend of diverse influences, including Jazz, Ambient, Techno, Psychedelic, and Hypnotic sounds. A multi-instrumentalist, he skillfully weaves the melodies of the guitar, piano, and saxophone into his sonic creations, drawing inspiration from his experiences in experimental projects across genres like jazz, funk, and reggae.

Savage Sessions ~ 5th Anniversary ~ Inaugural Mix by Kontinum

Initially inspired by the sub-cultural scene of his hometown of Lübeck, the young artist was strongly influenced by the predominant sound of the Leipzig techno scene. Especially the infamous Institut fuer Zukunft and its hypnotic and dissociative sound significantly formed his distinctive style and quickly paved his way into the local scene.

In 2017 then, he co-founded the project Nebula and after organising their first raves the collective quickly found its way into Leipzig's club scene and managed to establish its own event series at Institut fuer Zukunft.

In addition to managing most of Nebula's musical and organisational affairs, he continues to steadily enhance his own remarkable sound which can already be listened to on his recent releases on labels such as Circular Limited, Oslated or Lowless.

Feeling the sun sending its powerful warmth and light onto our home planet is a typical joy in these summer months. This beautiful star nourishes all beings around us and keeps entire ecosystems alive. Akob, as adepts of the sun, send out their musical waves to build their own garden of sound that enriches our "Dynamic Spheres" this month.

Akob are a DJ, producer and live act duo based in Berlin and Paris. Their interest in scientific theories, dystopian novels and humanity's relationship with the Earth informs their music and drives them to explore different sonic territories. In recent years, they have defined and refined their sonic identity through releases on acclaimed labels such as Lowless, Kvltö, Circular Limited, Planet Rhythm and The Gods Planet. Sophisticated live sets are also part of their repertoire, where they rearrange their studio material and improvise over it with various synthesizers, samplers and effects, making each performance unique.

This hybrid mix contains almost exclusively their own productions and is characterised by their typical sound aesthetic, which combines strong basslines, trippy percussive elements and deep, multi-layered atmospheres. The next 78 minutes take the listener on a mysterious journey into the depths of Akob's musical universe, which holds many inspiring surprises in store. 

The set was recorded live at Amaluna in Paris for an ecstatic dance organised by Anecdote et Alizée.

French artist 'Clarence Rise' is our next guest in the series. Taking this opportunity to showcase his love for slower techno, he approaches with a more ambient style, still keeping with his usual sophisticated touch.
Releasing his debut album 'Tangent Beliefs' in 2022, and more recently delivering podcasts for well respected labels, 'Monument' and 'BAHN'. Clarence proves an experienced and progressing talent with numerous releases under his belt.

His inspiration drawing from varying themes and emotions, Clarence incorporates dark atmospheres and complex rhythmic tones, creating a pensive melancholy throughout his music.

Mateo Hurtado creates hypnotic techno and experimental music. Inspired by the surrealist movement, obscure symbolism and ritualistic incantations, his music seeks to invoke the hidden, impossible images buried in the unconscious.

Be it as a DJ or live performer, his intuitive approach seeks to overcome conventional boundaries of the genre, sending the listener on an ever spiralling journey through polyrhythmic drumwork imbued with otherworldly melodies and dronelike, shifting atmospheric soundscapes.

He has released on labels like Annulled Music, Secuencias Temporales, Space Drum Meditation and Accents Records among others.

Hydrous is Per Christian Berg. A producer and DJ based in Oslo, Norway. Working within music as a sound technician/producer as well as having a number of musical projects across a wide range of styles and expressions, ranging from ambient and psychedelic rock to psy-chill and techno.
With his project Hydrous the focus and style is rooted in the hypnotic, psychedelic and atmospheric side of techno. Drawing a big part of his inspiration from nature, especially the nordic scenery, as well as meditative states. Bringing these threads of inspiration throughout his productions as well as DJ sets.
