We're delighted to introduce you to our very first EP on our label, Crosswalk Records.
The original track, "Sunday" composed by the very promising Max Manie is available on soundcloud for some months already. However, to bring things to another step, Max decided it was time to expose his work to a broader audience. Combining the majesty of a vocal fulled of melancholia, with elegant production abilities, he created a magical atmosphere with his track. The release is an opportunity to bring some nice coverage to this jewel and some qualitative reworks.
The original mix got remixed by a gifted Austrian producer crew. From the new-comers KlangTherapeuten and Royal Ruv, to the already worldwide known duo Klangkarussell, the EP navigates through the waves of this pleasing feeling of summer that never goes away. Each remixer brings to the original track his own sphere of influence, which takes us to a travel through the Austrian deep-house universe.

Serge Devant - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2015

Jonas Rathsman announces his latest offering with cutting-edge innovators Crosstown Rebels. ‘Complex’ featuring Josef Salvat is released on 10th June 2016.

This is a tech-blues odyssey, an introverts primal scream, where complex emotions and urges are vented and perfectly complemented by Rathsman’s explorations into the dark corners of electronic music. Enjoy the journey. With the release only in the hands of a select few tastemaker DJs, ‘Complex’ has been making waves at the recent Miami Winter Music Conference, “receiving hands in the air welcomes and even a sit down ovation” according to label boss Damian Lazarus. ‘Complex’ is set to be the first underground anthem of 2016. 

The release comes with two carefully chosen remixes. First up is Swiss techno stalwart Deetron, who steers the song into percussive acid oblivion while Serge Devant offers up his deep house expertise for a dramatic and driving offbeat cut. 

With his instantly recognisable sound, Jonas has found praise the world over for his keen ear and transcendent sets, which have captivated listeners on both the international club and festival scenes.

Following his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, Rathsman continues to showcase his technical capabilities and impressive track selection with his bi-monthly mix series ‘ELEMENTS’, now on its fourth instalment.

On a drizzly spring day, a lone wizard got lost in a big forest.  He sensed immediately that this was not an ordinary forest.  The most beautiful flowers were blooming everywhere and the birds were not shy at all.  Some birds even landed on his hand when he stretched it out.  This is not unusual for wizards as they have a strong bond with nature, but when he looked carefully at these two owls who were sitting on his hand, he realized they belong to an endangered species which were believed to have disappeared from the wild in this part of the world.  Now the wizard was absolutely convinced that this must be one of these forests which is being protected by a witch.  He had already heard stories from other wizards that witches were making a comeback in recent years, yet he had never seen one of these elusive creatures with his own eyes.  And – looking at the pristine state of this forest – this must surely be a very powerful and experienced witch, and probably pretty old.  The wizard didn’t have high hopes of spotting the witch, as they are known have excellent hiding skills.  So he simply savored the sheer beauty of this garden of Eden…

It was Sunday opening night on the Playa, excitement was in the air as new burn was upon us, some had just arrived some had been setting up for weeks, once that heart lit up we all knew where to go.   Robot Heart has been a source of inspiration for me, in fact the track I opened with “Unity” was inspired by my experience at Robot Heat way back in 2012, my first burn.  The other unusual sounds you are hearing are recordings from the rainforest of Indonesia and Gamelan rhythms from Bali island where I spend much time.  The Rainforest’s of Indonesia are very close to my heart and we do a lot with our Rainforest Pavilion initiative to protect these wonders.   To be included into the Robot Heart family and invited to play is a great honor, the experience lived up to everything I could have hoped for.  Magic is the only word I can use to describe playing and swaying back and forth on that giant illuminated beautiful creation known as the Robot Heart Bus.  1000 thank you’s to Robot Heart for bringing something amazing to the Playa and stepping it up every year for 10 years.  Can’t wait to see you all again.

Wavelengths of different frequencies bring us information about sound, temperature or the image of the world. Through our senses we form a coherent whole.
That`s why we love the sound of bells.
The sound spectrum of a single tone consists of the basic frequency and several higher frequencies that are a full multiple of the basic frequency. Together they form harmonious parts of the spectrum.
The non-harmonious spectrum consists of partly harmonious parts which are not full multiples of the basic frequency. The non-harmonious parts are added to the harmonious sections of the tone and produce richer instrumental sounds. Another determining factor of timbre is the transitional state which enables us to identify the source.

Light acts similarly. All the colours of the world  fit within the narrow margin of the visible spectrum. The frequency values enable us to reliably identify their influence on our well being and performance. Light affects our state of mind as much as music. 

The circle draws to a close.
