Biography

A path can be interpreted as a road, sidewalk, any physical thing that carries us in our direction. Or it can be something internal, like the electrical pathways in our mind that form thought, emotion, and embody the inner workings of human sense and experience. motifv is a young artist from Colorado driven by an inner call to sonically express and share his path to the world.

Known to friends and family as Joseph Kechter, motifv creates beautifully blunted beats that meander between futuristic synthesis and collages of gospel soul. He chases light anywhere that it may lead and leaves refreshing vibrations in his wake. In an effort to ask questions that inspire and have answers that resonate in resolve, motifv looks to the sun moon and stars for guidance.

First single off my part of the PLF Producers project of remixing and flipping entire albums by Pretty Lights while we wait for new music from the big D. This track contains samples from Finally Moving, Make You Feel, and We Must Go On, as well as a couple of my own samples and synthesis worked in for that TheBusiness. sound. As always big huge thanks to my mans and #plpix wizard Chris Kocher (@cmkphotography on insta) for letting me use his whole photography library in my album art manipulations, so thankful my guy <3 Hope you all enjoy :] <3

Colorado native Jordan Panasewicz rocks the moniker SayWhat?! representing a deranged man-child turnt panda bear. For over 10 years in the saturated Colorado scene, SayWhat?! has actively avoided following trends, and simply delivers the unique musical productions sent to him by the pandaliens from another universe. Now coining the genre "Ratchet Jazz", his productions are full of complex chords, jazzy riffs, and momentary filth. Slap n wobble bass lines work cohesively with hip hop rhythms and vocal samples to create a new era of jazz music that you didn't yet know you needed. Live trumpet and Electronic Woodwind Instrument in his performance are the icing on top, that will surely have you saying, "WHAT?!".
