My first tune ever with STEREO SIDs aka 2x 8580 with filters and all + added HALL reverb to mix the output of the two chips.

The raw tune is 3+3 channels aka pure stereo, but I composed the tune with a Logitech G35 headset with surround/reverb enabled so they got mixed. That's the sound I have tried to emulate in my mix here, so you can gain the same experience with a normal Dolby Headset

Singularity

Since 1986 when I got my first computer, a Commodore 64, I've been locked into the Grid.

I've been around almost every aspect of home-computer programming including:
game-development, intro/demos, music composing, graphical effects for both Commodore 64 and Commodore Amiga 500. 

Today I work with PCs, smart-devices, SQL-databases and web-development professionally. 

But, I am back into SID composing as that has some serious limits and therefore demands the composer to be ultra creative to get anything useful out of it. Just love the fun and sound.

The program I use for C64 SID composing is called CheeseCutter (http://theyamo.kapsi.fi/ccutter/). Its free, open-source and can run on any modern platform (Windows, MacOSX and Linux) and emulates the SID chip. When you pack the sourcefile into a SID file you can then use it on a real C64.


Before the turnaround (fall of the wall), my parents brought a robotron KC85/3 computer home and I loved it. The sound could only be generated by 2 pulses waveforms, but despite all this, some of the original games had a freaky sound.

Meanwhile, I was playing with a friend with a Commodore 64. I always had a penchant for it and I was also interested in various chiptunes. Nevertheless, later I preferred to go to the roots - composing music with hardware. I handled a lot with the DMC tracker for the C64. I can not say if there was any documentation, but I remember that I found out how some parameters work with my old oscilloscope. I wrote some results for Richard Bayliss - Music Scene Tutorial. 

In 2006 I won the "Battle of the Bits - Winter Chip I" competition in the category SID - which earned me fifty 7" vinyls. At that time my interest in synthesizers of all kinds grew (but in general the focus for 8-Bit machines).
