“This Ain’t Forever” took nearly as long to create.  

Quarantine life has been a tremendous shift for us all. 

The persistent nag of uncertainty has become the drumbeat of our current existence. 

I’ve gotten through it with the help of way too much day job, a TON of great mixes on Soundcloud and a bunch of shenanigan fueled Zooms with my wife and friends.

Along the way, I picked up a Pioneer XDJ-RX2 all-in-one unit that’s given me the ability to mix live at the apartment for the first time in at least half a decade.

What I hope you’ll hear is a heady exploration of energy and wistfulness that I think represents the way in which I’m doing my best to look at our future together.

The world is healing.  It’s up to us to follow its lead.

We are delighted to have Turkish born, London based dj/producer @fishmantamusic as our narrator for this week's episode.

Fishmanta is a Turkish born producer currently living in United Kingdom. His interest in music began as a child when he first came across his grandfather old vinyl collection then he started to take guitar lessons alongside his music studies.
Fishmanta’s musical beginnings started when he's got his first bass guitar when he was 17 years old. He has been playing in Rock Bands for 7 years as a bass guitar player. Since 2017 Fishmanta produces his own music in an elegance melodic waveforms. Lately his sound has started to take place and transformed into low and punchy oriental tunes. He released his very first track in Cafe De Anatolia.

The past weeks showed vividly that whether we wanted it or not, we are part of something bigger than ourselves, be it a family or a community, some global ideas or plans, a continent or a constellation. Doesn’t really matter what we are part of, what matters is that we need each other. Maybe once these days are gone, such feelings will go away too, but we’ll know we’ll be needing each other someday somehow. @elias-dore’s podcast is part of that syndrome. A lot of people teamed up to make stuff happen, so that you could listen to the mix, and once you do, you automatically join the list of those suffering from the syndrome. You are definitely a part of this project, and that is very important.

Christian acquired his love of electronic while growing up in the UK. It wasn’t until he moved to New York, however, that he would attend his first underground party and find the sound that would capture him and inspire him to step behind the decks himself. Since then, Christian has become a staple of the underground scene, a party enthusiast, and an avid techno tourist. After some time as a free agent, Christian’s sophisticated taste in music earned him a residency for Bespoke Musik where he has entranced audiences with thoughtful, layered DJ sets. His music blends a focus on the low end frequencies with a melodic, sometimes melancholic touch. The end result is just as suited to a nightclub dancefloor as a desert sunset, with enough versatility for everything in between. 
Some of his notable bookings include Gazgolder and Leveldva in Moscow, Café D’ Anvers in Antwerp, Sisyphos in Berlin, Output and Cityfox in Brooklyn, Do Not Sit on the Furniture and The Electric Pickle in Miami, and Robot Heart and the 747 at Burning Man. With the upcoming creation of Bespoke Musik’s record label in 2020, expect to hear Christian’s first original productions, as well as a preview of his upcoming music project.

We are back with a Monday refresher for you: similar to the Old Fashioned, the Cooper Union is a blend of smooth, bright Whiskey, elderflower and orange bitters. And Lee Jones fantastic interpretation comes with only the best and smoothest tunes! 

For nearly 20 years, Lee, originally from Essex (UK), has regularly played in the clubs of his adopted home of Berlin, such as KaterBlau, Sisyphos and Watergate, and throughout the world in over 30 countries. 

As a producer he has been through many changes. After his successful downtempo beginnings as Hefner, remixing the likes of 4Hero, Cinematic Orchestra, Fink and Lamb, he quickened the tempo as MyMy with Berghain resident Nick Höppner on labels such as Ostgut Ton, Playhouse and Cocoon. 
In a next step he refined his cinematic, jazz infused sound with releases as Lee Jones on Cityfox, Watergate Records and Aus Music. Recently he has returned to his downtempo roots on Amselcom and with his fantastic tune “Where we at” on Bar 25 a few weeks back. Lee also continues his remix duties for labels such as Anjunadeep and BPitch

The recent return to Blond:ish’s Abracadabra label with his “Muted Memories” EP in 2020, is another milestone on West & Hilll’s impressive footpring this year. With releases on labels like Connected, JEUDI and Stripped Down Recordings as well as with performances at festivals like Time Warp, DGTL, STRAF_WERK and many, The dutch newcomer is definitely not considered a stranger to the scene anymore. 

Soulful rhythms combined with a rather low bpm are a very typical trademark of his vibe. His tracks already gained the attention by the likes of Black Coffee, Adana Twins, Adam Port, Pablo Fierro and many more.

For his exclusive feature on this channel, West & Hill took the bpm’s another level down. So expect nothing but cool and chill downtempo vibes, perfect to sip on while enjoying a fresh summer breeze in the hammock. We love it!

The Berlin based artist has long been praised for his distinctive design and creative approach; offering you a concise and personal slice of his universe with each interaction.

MUUI’s discography  reflects his many influences and his exploratory nature always searching for compelling moments; working with an extensive list of vintage and modern hardware synthesizers, drum machines and processing gear that has seen him carve out a raw sound all of his own, beautifully delicate, intricate and emotive, a fresh message that resonates through each release and his live show.

Since his first release in 2014, his fascination to experiment with technique and technology has continually expanded his prowess as an artist. A heavy focus on live performance saw the birth of his debut album ‘Escape The Remedies’. The album was released in January 2015 via the Berlin label Crossfrontier Audio. 

Releases followed on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat and Microcastle alongside his second studio album ‘Following Today’, warping listeners into a carefully built exploration and was his most mature output to date. 

2017 saw the birth of his own imprint; Here Now was conceived as a new creative outlet for MUUI with the vision to bring together his music and other creative artists by way of events and a record label. 

In 2019 MUUI released his follow up EP on Sudbeat, alongside several raw and vibrant analog explorations planned across the year on Here Now. 

MUUI’s used the weeks of isolation lately to create new deep and atmospheric masterpieces. We’re extremely happy that he used some of his upcoming gems in the Calypso and we cannot get enough of it!
