The Over The Moon series continues with EROTHYME. Erothyme' sound is a majestic blend of overblown hyperbole and meaningless adjectives that actually have nothing to do with music. His tracks land in your ear like a dolphin gracefully diving into the surface of the ocean after doing a triple backflip in front of the setting sun. About this mix, he says: "This mix features every track from my latest release, Life Sidereal (Behind the Sky Music, 2024), as well as a number of other tunes from the past decade. Life Sidereal was written around the concept of a long interstellar journey to a world in orbit around a distant star. It also served, for me, as an initiatory exploration of analogue and modular synthesis, which previously was mostly outside of my creative domain. Life Sidereal was produced in the time from 2020-2023, while I was also formally beginning my journey as a student of astrophysics. Many other tunes of mine from over the years share similarly cosmic flavors of inspiration, so I had a lot of options for branching out musically in this mix while keeping more or less to the theme. Quite a few previously unimagined mashups managed to happen here. For me, this provided a new way of hearing many of these tracks. I hope that they manage to tickle your ears, brain, & heart, as they do to mine. May you ever dwell in the thick of cosmic serendipity as you navigate the expanse of space & time, and may the starlight guide you home!"

Super Feel Competition Winning House Music Mix

This is my special mix for Hot Situation's "The Bright Side". I started by diving deep in my library and finding cuts from before 2010, and then added a bunch of unreleased music from myself, Unders & Noraj Cue, and the Around Midnight label. It is a tapestry of my full sound and of tracks I've been loving at the moment. 3 weeks holiday in the Philippines, after wonderful days in the sea diving or sunbathing on the beach, we came to Nacpan Beach. Here I knew immediately that would be the location for the set. So the evening before recording, I started looking for suitable tracks for the location. The next day the time had come and the set was created at 32° on the beach in blazing sun. For nearly two decades now Norway has been synonymous with disco music, artists such as Lindstrøm, Prins Thomas and Todd Terje redefining the genre.  Now, following in their footsteps, a new generation are breaking through and Even Hymer Gillebo, aka Cavego, has firmly established himself as one of the most exciting with acclaimed singles on labels such as Youth Control and Get Dancy and remixes for nu-disco stars like Satin Jackets and Blende.

Now signed to renowned Belgian label Eskimo Recordings, home to two seminal albums by Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas, Cavego is set to solidify his reputation with his debut EP, the sparkling and playful ‘Gudbrandsdalen’. Named after the famous Gudbrandsdalen Valley, an iconic location in Norwegian literature and culture and where Cavego’s family have long kept a cabin, the EP’s genesis began last spring when he returned to the place he spent his formative years to collect the sounds of running creeks, birdsong, the wind in the grass and create music based on his childhood experiences.

With his collection of vintage synthesizers, carefully, relocated out to the remote cabin, these field recordings would go on to become the basis for the EP. Lead single ‘Kjeiken’ is named after his family’s summer farm. Based on his experiences walking through pine forests, heather, and moss to Kjeiken the track is an enchanting, playful number full of delicate sounds and crystalline melodies.

What a comeback after a small period off and straight back into the best party in town. It was the very first time for me to play as a solo act for beloved Bordel and I couldn't ask for more. It was the perfect causality conjuction to me so enjoy my 4 hours live recording from the stunning August edition of "Bordel Des Arts" at Salon zur Wilden Renate!

Reinvigorating their collaborative partnership Dmitry Molosh and Michael A return to Cid Inc's Replug Records with 'Integral'. Hailing from Belarus, both Dmitry and Michael sit amongst progressive music's elite guard. Their respective solo productions continue to earn play and support from the genre's premiere tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while also landing them releases on Hope Recordings and Sudbeat Music. Also calling Replug a comfortable home, Dmitry and Michael now return to the label with their first collaborative project in almost four years.

Much loved for their exploration of all things progressive and groovy, the Belarus duo exceeds expectations here, delivering two stunning pieces of music beginning with the title selection 'Integral'. Set in motion by a warm, chunky foundation, its robust core comes up quickly, with layers of finely tuned drums, crunchy rhythms and squelchy synths uniting in a fiery sonic comet. Shifting energy into the main break, heartfelt harmonics and fragmented melodies gently blanket the electric underbelly, resonating on a higher frequency as tasteful modulation rises and the groove drops for a chugging finale.

Operating on a similar sonic plane is the companion piece 'Twelve Days'. Otherworldly in nature, tough beats and dark stabs anchor the journey as the piece flows through a series of pulsating rhythms and mind-bending effects. Continuing on an unpredictable storyboard, ominous overlays and percussive flashes highlight the first act, perfectly setting up an icy break. Adding further intrigue, a wave of tranquil arps provide an effervescent foundation for the duo's dystopian soundscapes, before building to a granular sizzle as a rush of drums ignites a powerful crescendo. It caps off a hugely successful project from two of progressive music's most talented artists, further solidifying Replug's place at the top of this burgeoning genre.
