The latest release on Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint finds the label showcasing new interpretations of ‘Kafka’ by Ercos Blanka. Originally released in March of this year, it was the lead piece on the third installment of the label’s popular ‘Correlation’ series. Well received by fans and tastemakers alike, its deep, organic musicality resonated throughout the electronic underground, reaching over 1.5 million streams on Spotify in a six-month span. Now looking to refresh the track for the fall season, Sound Avenue invites Arina Mur, LADS and Francisco Aguado to provide their own unique interpretations. 

Making her label debut and providing the first interpretation of ‘Kafka’ is Arina Mur. Since making her production debut just two years ago, the Russian artist has found a home on Anjunadeep, Akbal Music and Seven Villas. Also an accomplished DJ, Arina has had the honour of opening for top international talents such as MANDY, Pablo Bolivar, Gorje Hewek and Izhevski. Now making her much anticipated Sound Avenue debut, she puts her own unique twist on ‘Kafka’. Redolent rhythms, exotic percussion and hazy harmonics set the course for this enchanting journey. Mounds of perfectly contoured bass roll forward with capsizing swing, as emerging atmospheres and clustered chimes smoothly shift energy into a glowing break. Reflective and hopeful, the centrepiece furthers the poignant narrative, eventually resetting the groove for a spirited final movement.

Next up and also making their label debut are LADS. Hailing from Germany and South Africa respectively, the duo has a meticulous discography highlighted by releases on Lost & Found, Magician on Duty, Nie Wieder Schlafen and Rebellion Der Traumer, where their intricate yet dreamy sound has flourished. Now making their first appearance on Sound Avenue, LADS take ‘Kafka’ into groovy territory. Deep yet robust, the piece flows through a storyboard of undulating bass, chunky rhythms and fragmented design, before shifting energy into an otherworldly break. Nostalgic in nature, the centrepiece projects an optimistic radiance, as waves of percussion and emerging rides cue a pulsating finale.

The release concludes with Francisco Aguado making his label debut and providing the third and final interpretation of ‘Kafka’. The Spanish artist has found a home on Apnea Label, Greyscale and Seven Villas, where he has showcased his dubbed-out brand of deep house. Now following the release of his latest Apnea vehicle ‘Coincidences of Life’, Francisco debuts on Sound Avenue with a hypnotic rendition of ‘Kafka’. Beginning with organic beats and dusty percussion, it’s the meditative nature of the groove which becomes instantly compelling. Pulsating and full of great character, it anchors what is a dubby yet musical slice of deep techno. Shifty harmonics marry clustered pianos across a nine-minute storyboard, for what results in a charming late-night journey. A heady interpretation from the Spanish artist, which rounds out a welcome remix edition for Ercos Blanka’s ‘Kafka’.

For the 81st release on Perspectives Digital, Darin Epsilon's renowned imprint brings together 7 talented artists from 5 continents for "Perspectives Around The World, Vol. 3". The 3rd global voyage of the popular series features (in alphabetical order) Amir Telem, Austin Leeds and Danko Skystöne, Deltium, ETCH and BetterDaze, and Sam Hopgood.

A successful Israeli newcomer, Amir Telem has quickly found success with his music on such celebrated imprints as Kindisch, Movement Recordings, and ICONYC. Making his Perspectives Digital debut, "The Gopi's Song of Separation" is a dark and pensive affair that revels in a rapid-fire bassline groove. Twinkling arpeggios ripple across the midrange as counterpoint motifs and soft vocal phrasing provide intrigue in a stripped-back breakdown that paves the way for a powerful second half to explode into life with dynamic club floor vitality.

A contemplative offering to match the changing seasons and the autumnal colors of the northern hemisphere, "November" provides new muted tones via Austin Leeds and Danko Skystöne. The American and Australian duo reprise their successful relationship on 2019's "Day Break" and "Summer Breeze" with an immaculately crafted affair that conjures vivid sonic colors and subtle vocal phrases. The outcome is an emotive piece that delights with catchy motifs and repetitive phrases that sit elegantly against a smooth bassline and an octave-pitched arpeggio that builds into the breakdown and second half.

Spanish producer Deltium impresses with the intricate flowing lines of "Equinox". Redolent in smoothly filtered arpeggios, this well-crafted track provides rich sonic harmonies that revolve seamlessly around a central melodic theme. Waxing and waning in filtered patterns, a clicking kick and offbeat percussion ties the lighter phrasing to a smooth metronomic cadence.

Finding success on Timeless Moment and OKO Recordings, ETCH has created a unique sonic texture with a blend of Melodic, Afro, and Progressive House. As the Egyptian artist now joins forces with Russian newcomer, BetterDaze, the duo have created a dynamic and vibrant offering via "Solitaire". Full of mesmerizing melodic intensity, whip-cracking snare rolls, filtered motifs, and white noise risers, the result is a strong and immaculately crafted affair likely to set crowds on fire well into 2021.

Up and coming Australian producer Sam Hopgood is a welcome addition to the Perspectives Digital roster after releases on Lauter, Natura Viva, and Particles. Hitting its stride with immediate impact, Sam reveals a shimmering gem with "Spectre". An arpeggiated pattern sets the tone as its detuned phrasing adds attitude and sonic variation. A delicate piano motif at the three-quarter mark breakdown is the perfect juxtaposition for the hypnotizing arpeggio, while a heavy kick, simple offbeat hi-hats, and atmospheric woodblock percussion are the perfect rhythmic backdrop.

'Presenting their debut collaborations, Dmitry Molosh and Nopi land on Cid Inc’s Replug Records with ‘Consciousness Switch’.  Label artist and progressive music star Dmitry Molosh has found a comfortable home on the Finnish imprint. After rounding out 2019 with the chart topping ‘Cascade’, the Belarus based artist returned to Replug this year alongside fellow countryman Michael A for their ‘Integral’ EP. Dmitry’s 2020 has also been highlighted by his latest project for Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music entitled ‘Elison’. Having first appeared in March of 2019, Nopi has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the organic house underground. In just eighteen months the Ukrainian artist has found a home on Akbal Music, Kindisch, Sound Avenue and When We Dip XYZ. His fresh approach to deep and dreamy melodies has propelled him to one of the genre’s top up and coming artists. Now making a welcome debut on Replug, he teams up with label veteran Dmitry Molosh for a two-track showcase entitled ‘Consciousness Switch’. 

Getting underway with the title selection, Dmitry and Nopi combine their extensive forces for a cosmic slice of progressive house. From its full, muscular groove comes driving percussion, robust rhythms and ethereal effects. Evolving with power and class, placid atmospheres provide a colourful backdrop for a landscape of striking electronics. A majestic break sits at the heart of the journey, expertly crafted and spanning nearly two minutes in length, it’s effervescent rumble builds, as rising effects marry heartfelt harmonics for a commanding drop and enormous finale. 

Continuing the progressive minded ethos of the EP is the equally brilliant ‘Ungovernable’. Warm and mystical from the outset, the piece pulsates with cross cultural vocals blanketing rippling bass tones and free form effects. Effervescent stabs add character and grit as the vocal narrative evolves leading into the main break. Twisted bass modulation adds a wave of tension across the centrepiece, flowing through an unpredictable storyboard, before getting washed away in a rush of sonic decay and spirited vocals. Flawlessly tailored for an astute dance floor, it rounds out two stunning creations from Dmitry and Nopi, who have made their debut collaborative project a most memorable one.'

Sydney and Los Angeles based Classical Pianist/Composer Van-Anh Nguyen and DJ/Drummer/Producer Mark Olsen blend their two worlds together to form a unique dreamy mix of acoustic and electro sounds. Ranging from ambient soundscapes to Melodic House, Double Touch brings their live musicianship deep into their creations.

Double Touch are official All Day I Dream artists with multiple releases and performances at the All Day I Dream events around the world.Their shows are a unique blend of a traditional DJ set and live performances, adding in live keys and drums, improvising new directions into their music during their live sets. The synergy and connection between the two is contagious from the stage.

After Lee Burridge played 3 Double Touch songs in his MIXLAB NYC set, Double Touch emerged onto the scene in 2019 with their debut EP on All Day I Dream – “Adagio” which took out the No.1 releases spot on Beatport (Electronica/Downtempo) as well as appeared in the Top 100’s in other genres. Since then, they have released everything from downtempo music on Buddha Bar, through to their club style on TrybesOf. Their Chorophobia EP (TrybesOf) hit Top 5 (Melodic House/Techno) on Beatport. Their debut single “Broken Paradise was also featured on a Ministry of Sound compilation CD.

Double Touch have performed their DJ set with live instrumentation at events all around the globe, including Return to Rio Festival 2019 (Australia), Cercle (Omnia Indonesia), Golden Gate Park (San Francisco, USA), Cloud 9 (Fiji), Glow Rooftop (Vietnam) and Omnia Bali (Indonesia).
