This is the SoundCloud Profile for my 'Electronica'  and Electronic Dance Music projects.....

Breaking from the 'norm' when it comes to 'genre' labels... Most notably with transitions... I try NOT to wear out a particular sound or riff in order to keep the music fresh and interesting... 
Always changing... as with life.....

Also, I often compose my music with a particular 'visual' story in mind.... As in a movie segment or music video.....  

Being a Rock as well as Jazz musician, I'm strongly influenced by those two main music forces... With 'electronica' being primarily instrumental in nature, you'll note a heavy Jazz influence here, at times... 

Two future music projects will focus on Synthpop and Industrial music respectively, but under different artist names.....

Known otherwise as Mr. Booty Bass aka Hoochie Father, JAYSWANN is a trailblazing figure in Baltimore’s DJ scene, becoming increasingly popular for his infectious rhythms and sonics that can only be described as “rump shaking”.  Coming off the successful release of his most recent project “BOOTY BASS INFINITI”, Jay is championing a refreshing twist on an old sound that is here to stay.

LIGHT ASYLUM is the reverential EBM, darkwave, techno project of self-taught, multidisciplinary performance artist, founder, vocalist and producer Shannon Funchess. Founded in Brooklyn, New York in 2007, the project has toured extensively through Europe, Eastern Europe, North America and Scandinavia performing at nightclubs and festivals. Funchess has collaborated with Sweden's The Knife and Detroit's ADULT. as a featured vocalist and credited producer on their respective studio albums and was featured on TV On the Radio’s debut EP ‘Young Liar’s’ as well as !!!’s (chk chk chk) “Heart Of Hearts” single. Funchess has also been DJing nightclubs, renegade raves and art events since the mid 90's with her first DJ gig as a resident at a pirate radio station in downtown Seattle, Washington and resident at the HotBox party at Aerospace Club. A guest at Discwoman, BOUND NYC, The Lot Radio, Ficken 3000, Coffin Club, dublab, Dream House, Synthicide, Elsewhere, Institute of Contemporary Art Boston and Portland Institute For Contemporary Art, she continues to DJ regularly and produce, perform and release music under the LIGHT ASYLUM moniker in 2022.

Since their self-titled debut album was released in 2013, Modern Girls have continued to evolve their sound from their roots in indie synth rock and chillwave with increasing bpm's and funkier dance floor-friendly rhythms. For the past decade the duo have been collaborating over the Atlantic, with members residing in Baltimore and Barcelona, shaping a more global sound. With a soft spot for psychedelia and analog synths, their music defies any specific genre, weaving sounds of House, Minimal, Psyche, Breakbeats and Down Tempo.
