You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".

Claude VonStroke spent over 20 years shaping underground dance music and building a community. After selling the Dirtybird brand and taking a 2 year hiatus, he’s back with a new mindset - playing only where he wants, for those who love the originality of his unique style.

Maurizio Leonardi from Solothurn, Switzerland, born in 1981 is producing electronic music. He has been facinated by music since his childhood and played his first sounds on saxophone and keyboard. Thereby the inception for his musical ear occured. Maurizio grew up with Rap of the early 90ties, mixed with beats of the House scene. 30 years later, he is still completely obsessed by the pulsating and energetic effect that comes from electronic music.

Since 2010 Maurizio is producing his tracks on professional equipment. He gets inspired by all different genres and is always looking for new ideas from all over the world. His motto: If it means fun to you and touches you, it will also reach others. Remain true to your style, this is the only way to get unique.

Seine ersten Töne spielte er auf Saxophon und Keyboard, womit der Grundstein für das musikalische Gehör gelegt war. Aufgewachsen ist Maurizio mit Rap der frühen 90er, gemischt mit den Beats der Houseszene. 20 Jahre später ist er immer noch wie besessen von der pulsierenden und energiegeladenen Wirkung der elektronischen Musik.

Seit 2010 produziert Maurizio seine Tracks mit professionellen Werkzeugen. Seine Inspirationen holt er sich aus allen Genres und ist immer auf der Suche nach musikalischen Ideen aus aller Welt. With a career spanning more than 20 years, Paco Osuna is one of the most renowned artists in the industry. His creativity, courage and relentless search for new forms of expression are some of his principal and consistent virtues when it comes to making music. On the dance floor, he is lively, intelligent and sophisticated, with a deep awareness for sound aesthetics. Every session is important to Paco and he sets out to invent and renew every time he steps onto the stage.

In 2006 he launched Mindshake, conceived as a platform for the creation and distribution of electronic music. Over the past few years, Mindshake has become one of the most important techno labels in the US and Europe. Also in 2006, Paco founded a club with a fresh concept, Club4, which has established itself as the overwhelming choice for its variety and accessibility in electronic music offerings.

Throughout his career Paco has performed at clubs, parties and festivals of great prestige. The list of events in which he has played is endless, and is one where quality is more important than quantity. From Fabric London to WOMB Tokyo, passing through Space NYC, Space Miami, Verboten New York, Watergate Berlin and Electric Brixton London. Meanwhile, Sónar, Awakenings, Dockyard, ADE, Neopop, BPM, Electric Zoo, Movement Detroit, Time Warp and Tomorrowland are some of the many festivals he has played.

From 2012 to 2014 he was resident for Richie Hawtin’s ENTER, appearing not only at Space Ibiza but also in its tour around the world. In 2015 Paco Osuna became part of Music On, joining Marco Carola in residencies at Amnesia Ibiza and the Story club in Miami, as well as the emblematic parties during BPM Mexico. In 2016 he was selected to be ambassador of PLAYdifferently Model1, a distinction also received by Loco Dice, Chris Liebing, Dubfire and, of course, Richie Hawtin. 2016 was also an important year for the Mindshake showcases, in which Paco participated alongside other label producers with tours taking in European and American stages, including events such as the Miami Music Week and ADE Amsterdam. The Mindshake showcases are both an extension of the musical and artistic vision of Paco and a family celebration, where the main goal is to create an unforgettable musical experience.

In the studio, Paco Osuna has moulded his own musical signature, coating the purest techno sounds with his characteristic features: depth, darkness and imagination, always accentuated by his creativity and innovation. Proof of that are his releases on labels such as Plus8, Minus, Mood, Spectral and Hommage, plus productions for his own platform Mindshake.
With a long career and background, Paco has picked up several prizes for his hard work on and off the stage, receiving the awards for Best Artist, Best Techno DJ, Best Producer and Best Remix from the Vicious Awards and DJ Mag Spain.

During 2016 Paco Osuna will extend the journey that has led him be the artist that he is today. This year, his residencies with Music On Ibiza and Miami will continue, while he will also still be focusing his energy on his main project Mindshake, a label that will end this year having published more than 45 works since its conception.
