This was unavoidable for me.  Politics aside, I think we can all agree that the mounting innocent victims of global conflict are a tragedy beyond measure.  These casualties should not be ignored as we sit in the comforts of our cushy little lives.

this track is really just revisiting an older tune from around 2022 that started off with just the opening electric piano part, and experimented with different synth pads and an arpeggiator. The updated version adds a few newer synth sounds to the mix. It's really still fairly experimental, and I may try another alternate version at some point.

Tony wanted to find a home for these beautiful lyrics , well I jumped at the chance , and this is the result , we really hope you like it ! Started as a kind of Raga--Jo created some lovely handmade words- and Stephen and his beautiful Duesenberg Guitar made some amazing droning magic to complete the vision--

@sonic-textures: First, there was amazing music made by STONERJAZZ. Then, I composed a poem and integrated it, surprising myself with having written the first 'love' poem in a long time - and to Snow White of all fairy-tale people! To highlight it all, TEXMEX SHAMAN made the music ring out even more beautifully. Eventually I created some artwork, inspired (by some reason I don't grasp myself at the moment) by those expensive vinyl imports from Japan. It might have to do with how much I value Jeff's and Stephen's guitar playing and creativity. It's a thrill ride to collab with those two experimental musicologists ;-)

Composition – The Eclectic Collective

This song started in probably the most effective way our group writes them. Ken had a spectacular drum beat that was unused in a previous project, so JJ composed and recorded with his magical keys a chord structure and arrangement. Once we had a beat and a chord structure, Josh came along and added his foundational bass. 

  Now that the rhythm section was complete and the chord structure was in place, Stephen added his unique melody line that you hear at the beginning and every other verse on his magic banjo. He also plays all the initial guitar until about the 1:40 mark, when Tez takes over. In addition, Stephen also laid down some really trippy sitar in the break section. Then it was time for Tez to add some spice to the mix with his fiery guitar solos, which you hear from about 1:40 on, eventually building up to a crescendo towards the end. 

  Once we had all the music down, we realized that we had a big gap in the bridge without much going on in it. So, Mark came through and recorded a cool poem he had written on his refigerator with word magnets more than a decade ago, captured with a picture, and added to for the this song. The poem is loosely based on the idea that our dreams exist in a digital environment/universe. The girl's voice you hear echoing him is his daughter, for whom he originally composed it, in her first appearance with the EC. 

  The song was now finished, except for Mark using his masterful production skills to trim and move a few things. After he made those adjustments on, he threw a mix on it. While we usually defer to Tez or Stephen for the mix, Mark did such a great job, we decided to keep his mix. Stephen did, however master and EQ it to make it a finished product. 

  This is a song written truly as a whole band effort, showcasing what the Eclectic Collective can do. I hope you enjoy listening to is as much as we enjoyed creating it.

This is part 2 of the Marry me in Vegas saga , great to work with Gaz and Nat again , we have another almost done , hope you like this 
one ! Next up is another collab with rapper Blaffy , he is about to win a major music competition , then me and Tony Harris ( fantastic lyricist from Alabama ) have a super Country song out . After that I'm not sure what's happening , but plenty in the pipeline and nearly completed . Dying to get me and Charlottes new one finished , and I'm working with sultry singer Kim in a duet with German orchestral composer Axel Menningen providing the music , exciting times folks ! This is the last one of 44 songs I wrote with my mom’s Spanish guitar in my university years, songs I’ve been arranging and posting to SC for the last 6 years (I’ve skipped 4 of them which will become a conceptual album soon).

I was interested in music in my early youth... so I soon got my first synthesizer and set up a small home recording studio.
over the years i played keyboards in 5 bands...the direction was rock...pop...blues and soul.
in the meantime i have discovered my enthusiasm for creating my own songs.
it makes me happy when I can compose...arrange...mix...produce and create something new.
it's like a passion to experiment with different styles of music... and it gives me a lot of joy.
the only limit is your imagination...
