Friday Island is back with its penultimate release of the year from cross-border prog duo Pete B & Rianu Keevs, featuring stunning remixes from Dowden and Andrés Moris. Pete and Rianu have been smashing it this year with high-charting releases on Prognosis, Critical Elements and JourneyDeep, and this release is bang on the sound we’re trying to push here at Friday Island.

First up is the original mix of ‘Unfamiliar Place’, a deep, dark and moody 4am heads-down vibe inspired by labels like Zero Tolerance and Plattenbank, combining growling bass, eerie pads and ominous vocals to devastating effect.

Next up is a remix from rising star and production genius Dowden who delivers an absolute monster of a tune, departing from his usual deep and melodic vibe with a darker mood that stays faithful to the original but adds raw, gritty bass, heavy percussion and an edgy detuned synth that absolutely slaps.

Finally, Argentinean prog producer Andrés Moris offers his interpretation – a driving, techy track that maintains the eerie, dark mood but takes us more into sci-fi territory with an aggressive robo bass and groovy drums guaranteed to lift the energy on any dancefloor.

Friday Island is a new progressive house label inspired by the magic of the early 2000s but with an eye firmly on pushing the future of the sound. Friday Island’s mission is to make music for dark sweaty rooms and those cosmic 3am dancefloor moments when you forget where you are.

Ethereal, nostalgic and hypnotic. These are some adjectives that can describe the sounds of the young Italian duo Primal Code. 
Davide and Gabriele come from Milano and they immediately jumped into the scene with slow melodies and sumptuous grooves found in their first EP "Eteru", released by Hypnus Record. Last January they reconfirmed themselves with the second EP "Artemisia", this time on Konstrukt, which is getting an excellent response. 
A lot of other their original tracks can be listened on “the Memoir” podcast series, where you can find a focus hour of their whole music.
In the summer of 2018 they released a debut album "La Via della Seta" on Hypnus Record officially entering on the label's roster. The records is a musical narrative path towards oriental atmospheres, impersonating themself in a fabric merchants from ancient times.
In April this year they released a new EP “The North Path” on The Gods Planet label and after that the first solo EP on Hypnus “Caimano Tribe” with more tribal and mysterious sound.
A personal and musical experience emerges in the songs, creating an enviroment in which all listeners’ senses are involved and projecting them into a sentimental level. Their music is an expression of a primordial instinct that dwells in all of us.

Nothing predestined Nicolas Mary alias Marnyc to produced electronic music. He grew up in a farm in the heart of the Normandy countryside, where culture is considered as a city specificity.While he was studying in an agricultural engineering college, Marnyc met three fans of electronic music : Bazarov, Levanti and DrezB. 
Time passing and affinities strengthening, the quartet created a collective called 125CC. After a few events organized in Rouen, they decided to focus on music production,and the evolution of the quality of their tracks is exponential. He finds a complementarity between proximity to nature, the hard work of the job and the daily involvement required and the electronic music, outlet and intellectual stimulant.
His goal is to show that “electronic music” is not incompatible with “rural”.

As a producer, Marnyc has already released in labels such as TMM Records, Signal Rec., B55R, Wunderblock, Illegal Alien or BAHN· Records.

He is also part of the roster of Violazioni Sonore agency.

In this mix from Tobias, he takes us through his finest vinyl selection of hypnotic techno soundscapes. The beautiful curation portrays a paced journey through tribal realms and Godly arenas.

It is a cosmic truth that music brings people together. Steve Chuha and Tobias Balghuber are a fine example of that theory. Two individuals crossed path midway on their musical pursuit. Both originally from Munich, Steve started his musical journey back in 2004 playing across Europe and during his lengthy stint in India. His love for Psy lead him to more thought provoking genres of Techno. Tobias started playing at small parties since 2013 and quickly gained acclaim. He became resident of Munich based label ‘Pitchbar Records’ and started his long journey playing at the big venues around the region like Harry Klein, Rote Sonne to new a few.

Steve and Tobias quickly recognised their mutual interest and passion in Techno. Steve created ‘Further Sessions’ as a platform that showcases some of the best talents that experiment with musical sounds. With this platform as foundation, the two vinyl aficionados started running events under the banner. The two are known for their punchy sounds well described as wildly playful and an amalgamation of sub-genres, . Steve and Tobias are living the theme of Further Sessions: "we must go forward, being aware that the past will never return”.
