this is one seriously talented dj, I don't generally like this type of music, I find it a bit heavy going. But Hydrangea has a skill and touch with music that makes every mix perfectly balanced 💛

I think it sums up completely how good this artist is, the fact that this mix is 6 years old , and sounds fresh today.  Mad true skills!!

Well known Polish producer and dj based in Berlin, founder of the Audio/Visual ambient/experimental series Why so Silent? (hosting dozens of events all around Poland, as well as Berlin, Stockholm and others). 

Founder and curator of his @innertension label– a platform where he can freely release his own productions, collaborations, and emerging artists in the scene. Blazej Malinowski has been featured on some of the best labels in the ambient, deep/hypnotic techno realm with past releases on @thegodsplanet, Kontrafaktum, @semantica-records, @silent-season and many more.

Known for his hypnotic and energetic productions and live performances he keeps a productive workflow and focus on studio work and creating the right amount of energy.

Over the last few years, Blazej has toured in the US, South Africa, various places in Asia as well as performing in many of the Europe’s best clubs such as Berghain, Bassiani, Tresor, IFZ, Macadam, Fuse, Jasna1, Ankali and many more.

After starting off our mix series a year ago, we welcome back for our 50th episode one of our favourite producers: Dycide.  
Dycide is a producer / DJ, professional sound designer and visual artist from Munich / Germany. He started playing instruments early on and began producing ambient music as a teenager. He established the Dycide pseudonym in 2014 to release mainly minimalistic deep drum and bass. Slowly he started changing more and more to techno oriented music. Meanwhile he and his close friends established IO, an audiovisual label, focusing on experimental ambient, deep techno and atmospheric artwork. Besides these projects he is working as an interactive sound designer and audio software developer.

Bohdan began his artistic career in the mid-2000s.
Having come a long way as a drum & bass DJ and organizer of many significant events in Kyiv, several years ago he completely took up music production, prefering atmospheric, mental techno and its various manifestations. His discography includes releases on some important labels in contemporary techno, including Informa Records, NORITE, Northallsen and Illegal Alien.

Bohdan’s sets, as well as his own music, are ranging from introspective, aesthetic vibes, filled with organic atmospheres and spatial sound landscapes, to the functional, intense and hypnotic rhythms of a full-fledged techno experience.

Bohdan is also half of the electronic project Asyncronous. In 2020 he launched a series of Kyiv-based events ÆNIGMA, focused on contemporary deep techno.

Hydrangea is a new French electronic producer, doing techno music deeply inspired by nature and its surroundings. She began producing music in early 2014, influenced mainly by the deep and hypnotic Italian techno.

So far, the Annulled Music Imprint has released Hydrangea's debut album, called 'Dawn Lights', a sensorial trip that captures each of your senses. She also released an EP on Two&Two Records and tracks on VA compilations, such as The Wandering II Compilation out on Silent Season. Besides being constantly preoccupied in reshaping her sound and developing new ways of expression through music, she's also a graphic designer and photographer under the alias Horty Shooter, managing the artworks for different music releases and graphic art projects.

Next up on The Erratic Podcast we are very excited to welcome aboard another extremely talented, young artist, this time coming straight from France, HYDRANGEA. She specializes on the deeper, more emotive side of techno and with every one of her works she delivers truly stunning pieces of electronic music. Much like the name describes itself, Hydrangea's sound is based on nature and the organic emotions it inspires on her – hiding at the core doses of both enchanting and intoxicating sonics.

Thus far in her tenure as an artist, she's managed to release among the best labels catering to this unique and enthralling sound: Silent Season, Annulled, Natch, and Dust Recordings all of which have received outstanding reception and feedback. In 2015, her debut LP "Dawn Lights" came to fruition, followed a few months later by her self-released LP "Escape From Reality" – an extremely personal and heartfelt tribute to the passing of her sister – via her own Bandcamp page.

As you will soon hear throughout the next 50 minutes of utterly captivating soundscapes, Hydrangea has a bright future ahead (including several projects to see the light of day shortly), and she feels right at home when expounding her complex palette of ethereal emotions. The creativity of Forest On Stasys is Influenced by tribal minimalist techno in the nineties and the deepest and most abstract techno currently. In his tracks the most seductive elements are the use of resonant basses perfectly combined with long and reverberated pads, extensive sonorous landscapes that are modified by continuous movement of LFO, solid grooves and strident percussions.

But not everything that comes out of his head is created with an intention to be used on the dance floor. He has a great admiration for drone and ambient tracks, without a rhythmic pattern that predominates, where the main factor is to captivate the listener with melodies that can be marked by a strong melancholy or with notes that give a certain feeling of satisfaction depending on his current mood.

At the beginning of 2019, he released his first work 'A Vision Of Light' in Danza Nativa, where currently he is one of the pillars of the label based in Buenos Aires.

A new season begins with a warm welcome to Joachim Spieth, founder of the Affin label. A true veteran of the scene, Joachim's first release dates back 1999 via Kompakt, and his own label narrates an impressive and storied history from 2007 onward. Recent years have seen quite the community grow around Affin's beloved output of ambient and techno, including recent stellar works from Einox and Toki Fuko, and last month's beautiful "Ousia" LP from Joachim himself.

This mix is blanketed by a calm, snow-bound serenity yet its nature is far from laid-back. As ethereal as it is energetic, this mix drives forth the clarity of Joachim's vision — a brisk inhale of the coming storm, an idyllic wind lifting us into the gale. Thanks Joachim!
