Chuggin Edits and Kongisto celebrate his April birthday month with a 3-hour long slow-burner featuring new and unreleased edits, familiar favourites, and household staples. The pair are no strangers to the depth and infectious groove of 'slow mo'. This mixtape is no exception.

Chuggin Edits X Slow Mo Lounge

This stream marked one year since I attempted, and completed, what was by far the longest set of my life - 2021 minutes or just over 33 hours. That stream was an amazing experience, and thanks to the brilliant support that I got from across the world I raised over £2,500 for mental health charities. 

I'm not quite ready to top that record just yet, but thought I'd do a little something to mark the occasion... so here's 3.3 hours of mixing from me (actually I was enjoying myself so topped it up to 4 hours). This was a slow, slow build of BPMs taking in a good variety of styles, and I was surprised to learn I got through over 70 tracks. Hope you enjoy!

Andrew James Weatherall (6 April 1963 – 17 February 2020) was an English musician, DJ, songwriter, producer and remixer. His career took him from being one of the key DJs in the acid house movement of the late 1980s to being a remixer of tracks by the likes of Happy Mondays, New Order, Björk, the Orb, the Future Sound of London, My Bloody Valentine, Saint Etienne, Primal Scream, Moby and James.

After starting the mini Dekmantel Selectors podcast series two years ago, it feels like a tradition to bring it back to life. In the next couple of months, we will release 6 podcasts by some of the exciting artists from the line-up. This year’s podcasts challenges the artists to work around a theme or idea they picked theirselves. Next up: Dekmantel label member Tom Trago.

Trago can be seen as one of the main key players of Amsterdam's nightlife. Having grown up in a musical family, he picked up on his love for music really fast and has been making music from the age of 15 ever since. A collaboration with Aardvarck and Awanto3, a debut single on Rush Hour and many DJ-sets worldwide followed, which made Trago the acclaimed musician he is today. Earlier this month we had the honour to release Trago’s newest LP 'Bergen', which was made in the same-titled village in The Netherlands and sees him putting out music through a new live set-up.

In anticipation of Dekmantel Selectors, Trago cooked up a special mix for us containing lots of disco and summer-vibes. "This mix is dedicated to those late summer nights and early mornings. Mostly tracks that i play when i feel that there is freedom and acceptance among the crowd. A lot of home listenings jams And easy groovers. Sit back And relax!".
