Alexis Le-Tan is a dear friend of ours, and has shared a musical sympatico with our family for over a decade, regularly collaborating with the ESP Institute and Blackdisco. This brand new episode of Lazpod, the first in AGES, was inspired by seeing Stevie Wonder in concert last week. He reminded me that, in this time of trouble around the world, the one thing that keeps us sane and together is... love.
 
For many years I have been adding and subtracting songs from this compilation... my ultimate collection of love songs. These are songs about the joy of being in love and in some cases, they depict the despair we feel when we are without love.

I discovered whilst making this that you cant beat the classics and every time I tried to add in a fresher, "cooler" track, it just didn’t stand up against the rest. So, here it is, the return of Lazpod. I hope you can feel the love vibes and enjoy this one over years to come.

Lazpod is BACK.

Last Friday we held our 5th birthday at Headrow House and it was more than a pleasure to hand over the evening to Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston's A Love From Outer Space for a 6 hour set. If you were there, you'll know what a fantastic journey it was amongst the smoke and strobes. Hard to think of another dance-floor experience like ALFOS that locks you in for the duration with such thrilling music. If you missed out, we recorded the whole thing. Clandestino 114 - A Love From Outer Space

A real pleasure to have a couple of our favourite selectors on the series this week. Kev Macey and Joe Lye make up London's esoteric party collective Amp + Deck. Although its taken them two years to compile this mix for us, it's been worth the wait. Regulars at discerning festivals, Ibizan villas and heaving basements alike, an Amp + Deck mix is always a highlight. Each time we've caught them play their sets are always executed with style and excellent programming, full of obscure and exotic but deeply danceable records. Here they take us on a thrilling Afro themed disco journey.
