Rum Ham (aka Colton Wheeler) first moved to the Okanagan area of British Columbia back in 2014 and was immediately wrapped up in the whirlwind that was the booming music scene of Kelowna, especially the funk influences of local heavy hitters such as JPod and Stickybuds. From Rum Hams first time on stage he was addicted to getting people grooving, and he began to build a career playing outdoor shows and house parties and loving every minute it of it. Skip forward 3 years and Colton has built himself quite a resume as being one of the funkiest DJ’s in the Okanagan. He has held two residencies, has played several impressive outdoor events, and opened night club performances for the likes of Stickybuds, Skiitour, and Sammy Senior. These days you can catch Rum Ham spinning his signature blend of funk, disco, hip hop and funky glitchy party anthems at several venues and outdoor events all across British Columbia. He shows no signs of slowing down and plans on taking his craft to the next level, so make sure to keep an eye out for the funky ham and give him a high five when you do!

http://soundcloud.com/Spinforth started his weekly* Scour for the http://soundcloud.com/Ghettofunk website back in January 2011, assisted by fellow Hong Kong Ping Ponger's Morphosis and Fat Harry. His quest was to seek out the choicest cuts from the freshest, often unheard of, producers ploughing their trade on SoundCloud. The Scour soon blossomed into a bit of a phenomenon, unearthing some of the finest producers to not yet have their tracks out in the DJ scene!

With incredible numbers of people checking out the weekly* posts, it seemed a logical next step to set up a brand new digital label, showcasing, and officially releasing, the creamiest of the crop of The Scour. Boom! http://soundcloud.com/scourrecords was born!

Expect all Scour traditions to be upheld throughout the initial releases; selection process, BPM order, making up of new words, a touch of nepotism from time to time, it's all here. The first first release is an eight tracker - It was only mean't to be five - see what we mean about upholding all Scour traditions :)
