This set was recorded live on my mini Solar RiG  as part of Screwloose Soundsystem. It was a very sunny day and I decided to take the mini RiG out in the local park in Leeds in June 2023. It's a deep set with lots of tribal percussion and funky basslines.

Summer´s almost past – my Mix “Feel the Summer Vol.02” (July 2025) being a big success, THANK YOU ! … now I feel a strong urge to return once again to what I have always felt is a BIG PART of me: the gospel of strong, earnest, unadulterated emotion - the likes of which are becoming evermore rare, not only in house music... and so, especially in the first tracks, included are some thirty to fifty year old and partly heavily scratched vinyl records, the sound adaptation of which took some efforts, but which I couldn´t find anywhere as electronic files, but which I did not want to do without in this mix. "Matthew Cullen has been engaged in electronic music since the mid ’90s, shaping his very own unique style ranging from Funk, Soul, Deep House and Techno. Started playing at club “Dr Smith” in Rio de Janeiro in 95 followed by a residency at the club “Circus” in Sao Paulo in 96. From there he and Shane Hughes (Fusion) co-founded Psychedelic Underground Sound System. Hiring farms on the edge of Sao Paulo was the very beginning of the first outdoor raves in Brasil. Continuing with raves in the north of Brasil he teamed up with Aljay (Groovetech Radio & Sunburn Recordings) and Mario to form Global Tribe Sound System. After returning to the UK in the late ’90s he is now part of the club and outdoor party scene in the north of England with Screwloose Sound System. Concentrating now on Music Production and with the imminent launch of his third release later this year, Matthew Cullen is guaranteed to deliver."
