A piece based on Odysseus and Calypso. Each melody represents an aspect of their story. For example, one melody represents the incessant waves reminding Odysseus that nothing changes on the island, that the world is moving on without him, that his wife and child are far away and getting older. Another melody represents his bliss on the island as his family and home are forgotten. Another melody represents his pining for Ithaca, his desire to return home to his responsibilities and the family he hasn't seen in many years. And so on. Forgive me for the audio quality! I'm working on getting a human recording of it.

Abstract sound sculptures created on tape, edited by random means.
V.M. is Silvie and Carl ( but we dont talk about him because he's a dick)
I use mostly a Teac 3340S tape deck for tracking and some other 1/4 track decks for bouncing and repeats.
once I have nice mixes on all four main tracks I then mix small sections of tape into "songs". But all the songs are really sections of a 45 minute tape. only then I make a computer recording and make a little mastering.
The Temporary Castles album I am working on is all MicroKorg sounds through Fender twin amp. recorded to old dirty 1/4 tape.
The next one will have more saxyphone and guitar I think.
