Who is Sharod Starks?
On one shoulder, a tattoo reads "Stay Humble". The other shoulder reads "Stay Hungry". In between boasts "Failure is not an Option". Not much more could describe the attitude and work ethic of Sharod Starks. Formerly known as PT Starks, Sharod Starks is a multi-faceted artist and stands as the resident visionary for the label he co-founded, Business As Usual Entertainment, LLC (BAU).

Founded in 2005, Business As Usual Entertainment (BAU) is fledging entertainment firm based out of Philadelphia, PA. BAU has become a power player in the field by creating synergies with companies across multiple platforms to bring customers the ultimate music experience. Behind the scenes, BAU has been one of the most forward thinking and innovative forces in music. BAU is also home to a range of creatives from Philadelphia to Atlanta to LA and many points in between.

Being a loyal fan in today’s restless, smash-and-grab nature of the rap industry is overwhelming.  Many of us that manage to keep pace with the revolving door of album-quality mixtapes, breakthrough releases and exponential amounts of mediocrity cranked through the internets have become dependent on a constant intake of new music.  Just as many others that grew up with The Chronic, Enter the 36 Chambers, and ATLiens revere a past era when an album had real staying power, and question the value of a contemporary artist’s full-length release that is one of five in a given year.    Yet it seems this progression is one we’ll all have to live with, and unless you’re Kanye West, it implies that simply making a great album is often not enough to keep peoples’ attention for more than a few weeks… 

What about a “living” album?  One that evolves- adding, removing and remixing tracks with time as fans digest it.  Business As Usual Entertainment, Public Axis and YBMusic have unflinchingly set out to change the benchmark of fan interaction with THE BOARDROOM, a living hip-hop compilation album that gives fans stock in its output and renovates according to their feedback.   Starring contributions from some of Philadelphia’s reputed next generation of artists such as PT, Nico the Beast, 2ew Gunn Ciz, The Incredible Stro, D.O.E.Boy Philly, 750, The Symphony and others, the project still employs a traditional work ethic.   Vacant of typical, mixtape culture lapses such as unmixed tracks or freestyles over exhausted hit-list records, The Boardroom boasts a collection of 100% original music. Vedo is an American singer-songwriter best known for his stellar Youtube Covers/V-Mix's. He scored his 1st Viral hit with his song 4 Walls which has over 30 Million Streams Worldwide. Vedo appeared on season four of NBC’s hit show, The Voice. His vocal ability was picked up by International R&B sensation Usher who is mentoring him in all aspects of life. He won Male Artist of the Year at the 2014 Georgia Music Awards, Best Video in 2015, and Best Male R&B in 2016. Vedo”s first single “All I Wanna Do” reached #45 on the UMS Radio Charts and second single “Classic” #38. His Ep entitled “State of Mind” released April 8th on his own label “New Wav Music Group” hit 6 different Billboard Charts. His Latest LP "From Now On" was released December 8th, 2017 and Debuted at #8 on the iTunes R&B Charts with now over 7.5 Million Streams. Vedo is also writing songs for a few Artist, Such as SHINee, EXO, Lay, International Superstar Chris Brown and Lil Dicky just to name a couple. Vedo is quickly making a name for himself on both sides of the spectrum as an Artist and Songwriter.
