An artist with a steadily evolving body of work and ever-growing fanbase, Sebastian Sellares continues to chart a path to the upper echelons of the underground dance scene. Now making his Proportion debut, he delivers the twin-track “Renaissance” EP.

From his home in the foothills of the Sierras Chicas, Sebastian Sellares has witnessed an unstoppable rise to prominence. An accomplished guitarist from an early age with a particular focus on rock and metal, Sebastian was ultimately drawn to electronic music with a penchant for luscious melodies and deep rhythmic grooves. A regular across the clubs of his Córdoba home, a production career in tandem quickly shone a light on a complementary set of skills.

A plethora of high-class releases quickly followed with a century of tracks finding their way onto such esteemed imprints as Anjunadeep, Proton Music, GMJ & Matter’s Meanwhile and Cid Inc.’s Replug, the latter in collaboration with fellow countryman, Ezequiel Arias. Thus, through a growing portfolio of original and remix production work, Sebastian has become a sought after and in-demand artist.

Now making a first appearance on Proportion, Sebastian Sellares delivers a twin-track EP of the highest calibre. Redolent in rich melodic tapestry and dynamic rhythms that have become a staple of his work, “Renaissance” is a glorious offering that lilts effortlessly via rolling groove and ticking hi-hats. A rumbling bassline sequence creates syncopated synergy as expertly placed and stereo-panned effects add to the dense atmosphere. Elegant melodies emerge into the second movement and breakdown as they tumble and cascade over each other in beautiful aural patterns. Hitting its stride once more in the second half, emotive string phrases and delicately pulsating synths add even greater depth in a track that finds the Argentinean at the height of his production powers.

Partner track, “The Blitz” immediately excites with its subtle bouncing bassline energy and ticking percussive groove. Immaculately placed synth phrasing provides dancefloor dynamism as a sweeping analogue synth line imprints itself on the listener’s consciousness. Rising and falling with club-friendly ease, a cadenced synth line builds in energy, mirroring the bassline beneath before twinkling keys provide a moment of exquisite beauty. As the track drops back into its stride once more in the latter stages, bass prowess and melodic majesty combine in mesmerising fashion.

Taking the rebirth of modern progressive house to new heights, Sebastian Sellares is a true “Renaissance” artist.

Clubsonica continues a strong start to the year by welcoming Dabeat back to the label for a new EP. Sitting as one of Colombia's premiere progressive house talents, David Barragan aka Dabeat has enjoyed a steady rise since first emerging in 2008 with a release courtesy of Beatfreak Recordings. The next decade saw David perfect his craft with a sound that many describe as groovy, dynamic and emotional. Now laying claim to an impressive discography, the Santiago de Cali resident has showcased his music via Anjunadeep, Mango Alley, Plattenbank, Proton, Replug and Sudbeat, while continuing to receive play and support from the genre's premiere tastemakers. Also a primary contributor to Clubsonica, Dabeat has recorded six remixes for the Colombian imprint across a five-year stretch, beginning with his label debut in 2018. Now, following a well-received debut for Global Underground to begin the year, Dabeat returns to Clubsonica for his first artist EP entitled 'Vesta | Evolving', alongside remixes from Rauschhaus and Sean & Dee.

Selection one finds Dabeat paired with occasional studio partner, fellow countryman and progressive house star Kamilo Sanclemente. Together the duo have been responsible for some of the genre's most memorable tracks, most recently delivering their 'Floating' collaboration for Global Underground to begin 2024. Also paired previously for Clubsonica, the duo continue their creative partnership for the label in fine fashion with 'Vesta'. Here, Dabeat and Kamilo masterfully synthesize their talents while breaking down boundaries to serve up a melting pot of inspired progressive house. Its pneumatic energy turns over quickly, flowing through a maze of mutated electronics and fiery rhythmic fractures, before reaching a hyperspeed collision of sonics for the ultimate high-octane drop and grooved out finale.

Sound Avenue continues a strong summer season by welcoming Diego Moreira back to the label for his debut EP. First emerging as a DJ in 2009, Argentinian artist Diego Moreira would establish himself across his countries vibrant progressive house scene, performing alongside Antrim, Ezequiel Arias, Graziano Raffa, Mariano Mellino, Mike Griego, Nick Muir and Sound Avenue label boss Madloch, amongst others. Highly regarded for his impeccable taste and smooth programming skills, it was 2018 that would see Diego make his debut as producer. On the strength of early tracks 'Tina' and 'Nomis', Diego would go on a five-year creative swell, recording standout projects for 3rd Avenue, Late Night Music and Sudbeat, in turn earning the praise of Hernan Cattaneo, Jamie Stevens, Nick Warren and Solomun. May of this year would mark Diego's Sound Avenue debut, one where the Cordoba resident put a dark progressive spin on 'A Fading Dream' by Madloch and Sudnode. Now, presenting his first original project for the label, Diego returns to Sound Avenue with 'Feeling', alongside remixes from EANP, FJL and Mckeown & Bassiray.
