very nice piece Sebastian. Like the balance a lot.

I guess you can loop it if you trim the intro drums and the horn tails at the end. I didn't want to render it as a loop, because the horn tails would have been stuck to the beginning of the song.

Day 4 of 7. The royal darkness is coming inside the place. She will not tolerate any light around here. Her dark sadness overtakes the world. Part of this track wrote in 5/4 & 4/4 time signatures. Trying to explore something irregular.

Here's the track for day four of the VGM Academy #7DaysOfVGM #Salamandos challenge: The Dark Queen!

The suggestion for this track was to get a little out of your comfort zone when composing, so I decided to create a bit of tension by writing the piece in 5/4, which has the effect of constantly propelling the piece forward without any real sense of rest.

This is largely inspired by David Wise's style of writing and instrumentation, at least I've tried my hardest to make it.

Wrote this video game track for a dungeon level where the hero goes through many trials meant to test their strength and persistence. The metal music is perfect for battle music.

Sebastian Lane is a Whitehorse-based game composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. He began learning rock and classical music as a teenager and then later got into metal music. After playing music for years and being in a couple of bands, he began writing rock music then metal, then embraced his childhood love of video game music and got into video game composing.
