Diynamic’s ‚Four To The Floor‘ series: what started in 2014 has now reached its 20th edition. 7 years of dance floor weapons, selected and road tested by Solomun. And so far, an end is not in sight. 
Edition 20 kicks off with Grigoré’s „Upside Down“. A rapid heartbeat bass line, growing percussions and dramatic choir-esque synths - just the right ingredients for a melancholic dance floor affair. Up next is „Violent Location“ by Waltervelt & Kiko, a sinister soundtrack to a dystopian fantasy and pure after hour gem. 
The third track is „Night Fly“ by Cortexmaltex. Its gentle vocals and fragile synth ripples over the driving percussions let you dwell in memories of lovers lost.
And closing of the Four To The Floor 20 is „1989“ by Silver MX, an 80’s anthem that transports you right into an arcade racing game, driving your drop top Lamborghini Countach down Santa Monica Boulevard

Following their album 'Murmurations', Jas Shaw of Simian Mobile Disco has remixed all 12 tracks off the LP for the 'Re-Murmurations' release. Today we hear the first listen of the first mix of 'Caught In A Wave' off the album, one of the first releases from Shaw after he was diagnosed with AL amyloidosis, a rare and serious condition that affects blood cells in the bone marrow (http://www.amyloidosis.org.uk). After initial weeks in treatment, Jas was able to return to the studio and create 'Re-Murmurations', which will be out September 28 via Wichita Recordings. At the forefront of the dance music landscape, DJ/Production duo and label heads, Catz ‘n Dogz are well and truly in the driver’s seat of their musical journey. Starting out as close friends, the pair have risen to critical acclaim, leaving a lasting impression on the electronic music community with their honest productions and label releases; spreading the love far and wide. With friendship as one of the main precursors to their success, they present a warming and emotional album channeling the intricacies of ‘Friendship’ and relationships.
Escaping to a wooden cabin in the Spanish countryside village, Cercedilla, which also shares the name of the opening album track, Greg and Voitek came together to create an album that re-wrote the Catz ‘n Dogz history book. Known for their diverse style and ability to craft varying pace and rhythm, the duo sought out consistency with their ‘Friendship’ LP to make an album in the truest sense; a long player to be listened to as one body of work. The 4x4 beat underpinning all music across the project, ‘Friendship’ encourages listeners to be at one with themselves and enjoy their life; to go with the flow of highs and lows that come with it.
As a testament to the bond that has allowed Catz ‘n Dogz to build and establish themselves, they invite a band of close friends and like-minded peers to collaborate on the album. Vocalist and guitarist James Yuill on the Spanish inspired ‘There’, fellow polish native Rosalie. on ‘Mind’ and deep vocals of ZENSOFLY and Maxville on the funky ‘Wave’. Travelling into new territories of cross-genre and lingual collaboration, leading Polish rapper, Taco Hemingway lays down lyrics in English on Yi Fang. Along with longtime friend Kiddy Smile and fellow creative mind Rouge Mary, teaming up on 90’s house inspired love song ‘One Plus You’. Appearances also come from WhoMadeWho on the cool and breezy ‘Never Go Down’, before later delving deeper into the ethereal voice of Jono McCleery in ‘Would You Believe’ and the eerie folk-esque vocals Eglė Sirvydytė on second-last track ‘Water’.
Sharing the same name as their countryside escape, introductory interlude ‘Cercedilla’, eases the listener in with warm notes and raw samples of running water taken from the cottage that became their home. ‘New Love’ celebrates new possibilities and challenges that come throughout life; narrated with rumbling break-beat and euphoric synth lines. Big kicks and funky melodies in ‘This Feels Real’, build anticipation for what is set to follow in the acidic elements of ‘Questions’; denoting the rollercoaster of emotion one can experience throughout the relationships we make. 
Hugging the listener with emotional piano chords, ‘Moments Turn To Hours’ encourages the idea of being at peace with oneself, acknowledging the long and hard times and allowing them to pass on by. Looking back to the Berlin days of Catz ‘n Dogz, ‘Last Song For Berlin’ summarises the decade they spent there. Celebrating the people and friendships they made and channeling the soulful side to a city so lauded for its darkness in the Techno scene. Picking up with ‘Hedonic Treadmill’ drum and bass elements, layered with emotive keys and uplifting soulful samples, see out the album with a sense of euphoria and hope for the future. 
Left and right, yin and yang, Catz ‘n Dogz. Greg and Voitek are proof that opposites do attract. Now living in different cities and leading alternative lives, their friendship blooms stronger than ever, culminating in their truest and most heartfelt body of work to date – ‘Friendship’.
