Embark on an ethereal journey with Second End Records’ inaugural release, as the new entity unveils today “The Next Kingdom” LP, from label-founder Jonnnah.

As a manifest of SER ethos, the Lyon-based Producer’s second personal album is also a pure merging of his own touch: mesmerizing soundscapes, pulsating rhythms, and enchanting synth melodies. From Jonnnah’s intricate layers of instrumentation and melancholic vocals, arise the fragile yet powerful aesthetic encapsulated in the contemporary electronic scene. Boundaries between genres and emotions dissolve through the prism of digital hybridizations, and each track of this twelve-act offering alternately conceal or lay bare what’s deeply rooted in Jonnnah’s soul.

LYL Radio regular @jonnnah gets the premiere treatment today with a swooning trip hop elegy.

Set for release on his @second-end-rec label, ‘The Next Kingdom LP’ offers sensuality and romance in a genre-agnostic style. Big on soundscape, spectral and bruised.

The Lyon native runs the gamut from delicately widescreen bliss-out to gauzy IDM pointillism, and on a smoked-out, downbeat tip, ‘Fundamental Social Unit’ emerges an undeniable highlight.

For his debut EP What I Need, Blanc Soleil delivers a personal and already distinctive take on electronic music. Inspired by open spaces (and the objects that interrupt them), META DOOR L is the latest auditory excursion from Perila. Expansive in scope, it extracts beauty from the organic and inorganic alike, tapping into the wonder of the outdoors as it revels in the unique properties of metal—both as a material and a sound source. Building on her work for labels like Sferic, Motion Ward, and Boomkat Editions, META DOOR L is rooted in field recordings extracted from the wilderness outside Tbilisi, where a series of hiking expeditions led Perila to chance encounters with metal tubes, large rocks and the ruins of an old house. In the months that followed, these recordings were patiently processed, degraded and transformed, their misshapen remains welded together by hazy ambient atmospheres and textured soundscapes. From there, the St. Petersburg-raised, Berlin-based artist pushed herself into new creative territory, searching for the innate (and decidedly non-linear) rhythms lurking within her dense sonic stratigraphy. META DOOR L is the hypnotic end result, an immersive listen whose lush tones and guttural rumbles coalesce into something utterly transportive.
