INVOLUCIJA is euphoric deprogramming: transgression, liberation and abstraction.
INVOLUCIJA is an ongoing experimental collaboration with artists from ex-Yugoslavian countries, starting with Saša Rajković (Zarkoff), Jasmin Mahmić (Le Chocolat Noir) and Lidija Andonov (Sixth June).

One night Lucija dreamt of a work entitled Tiha povest involucije (The Quiet History of Involution). Involution is a metaphor for the ever-entangling depth of our situation - the world falls apart then re-organizes itself with unexpected and sometimes distressing connections.

INVOLUCIJA is envisioned as a noise abrasive enough to resonate with the ever-increasing discomfort from which we try to dissociate. We call this euphoric deprogramming.

The third KRI Records release features the infamous Italo Moderni label boss Adrian Marth joining forces with the Italian EBM master Diana Berti (Violet Poison) and it's a belter. 

Warm and punchy analog beats are spiced with haunting melodies and sinister pads that will break even the toughest of ravers. Sturdy EBM-ish, dark italo and wave production is cushioned with Adrian's mysterious vocals adding yet another layer to a diverse EP accompanied by two heavy-weight remixes.

Magic Fantasia is reimagined as a dirty electro firecracker by Chupacabras (L.I.E.S.) while Panoramix Forest is transformed into a commanding EBM march by Chino (Pinkman).

Think of Dario Argenti walking into a dark club at 3 AM ...

PREMIERE: Adrian Marth feat Diana Berti - Magic Fantasia (KRI Records)

The album 'Fire in the Sky' on @khoinix brings the horror soundtrack-inspired elements from Ubre Blanca's previous work together with the group's more recent focus on the dancefloor, pushing at the edges of the dark disco sound the band has become known for.

The tracks draw inspiration from techno on 'Heatseeker', EBM on 'Prison Acid' and 90s trance on 'Purity Spiral' to the ubiquitous John Carpenter influence on the title track and 'Stress Positions', a dark and somehow danceable track in 6/4 time, making heavy use of the Roland GR-500 synth guitar and incorporating bass guitar for the first time on an Ubre Blanca release.

Paris-based electronic music producer Gewaltem, a highly sensitive introvert, grew up in a catalyst musical environment, later conducive to his intellectual and personal growth. A fertile soil, consequently for the development of a musical meaning built on synesthetic processes where his cognitive and interpretive skills deliver Gewaltem a unique perception of the outside world. Between intimate wistful diary and sound experimentation, Gewaltem's music is an interesting paradox where the quest for blue and nocturnal anxieties rub shoulders, where opulent soundscapes lead to a romantic shuddering atmosphere, perceived as the only way to dodge the routine, express, understand, and overcome overwhelming feelings.

Portland based act Dancing Plague has been a steady presence in the dark/cold electronic music scene for quite a few years now. Since 2016 Conor Knowles’ solo project has been putting out one constant flow of independent releases creating one sonic palette rich with EBM, goth, industrial and synth influences.
Their 5th studio album continues to flesh out and perfect their unique brand of crushing darkwave. Elogium explores themes of loss, regret, rebirth and growth coupled with throbbing basslines, rave synths, and pounding drums. Knowles balances aggressive waves of electronics with enough pop sensibilities and catchy hooks to be inviting to those new to the genre. His skills can be clearly appreciated on tracks like the first single Fading Forms which explores the somber feeling of the years passing you by. Knowles’ emotive baritone crooning paints a melancholic picture of the slow fading of time as you feel like you’re fading with it. 
Fans of classic icons such as Depeche Mode, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails as well as contemporary torchbearers Cold Cave and Kontravoid do not sleep on this.
Plenty of disturbing beauty to be found in the depths of the underground.
