Paris-based electronic music producer Gewaltem, a highly sensitive introvert, grew up in a catalyst musical environment, later conducive to his intellectual and personal growth. A fertile soil, consequently for the development of a musical meaning built on synesthetic processes where his cognitive and interpretive skills deliver Gewaltem a unique perception of the outside world. Between intimate wistful diary and sound experimentation, Gewaltem's music is an interesting paradox where the quest for blue and nocturnal anxieties rub shoulders, where opulent soundscapes lead to a romantic shuddering atmosphere, perceived as the only way to dodge the routine, express, understand, and overcome overwhelming feelings.

@Pyrame, the traveler and cosmic poet now residing in Berlin, releases his new EP "Senses High" on his own imprint @ThisbeRecordings.

In his 2 -track EP, which includes the singles "Senses High" and "Stranger Than Me", @Pyrame tells us a story as long as the history of mankind : that of desire, sensuality and mutual attraction.

His music fully embraces his electro, new wave - and even rock, through its provocative nature - influences, and was composed and produced by the end of the pandemic.
It is hence the result of the mindset @Pyrame got into during this unique experience we all went through. With no exception for the Lausanne-born musician and lyricist.

The release also features best-in-class remixes by @andrewclaristidge, @la-mverte , @theusmago and @Semodi_music.

The EP dropped on Friday 22nd of September, and is available both digitally and the two originals on a limited edition of 10´2-sided transparent vinyl, that can be purchased via the THISBE Recordings bandcamp page.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Fugitive Artifact. "Personal" comes off the album, “Deferentiator", forthcoming on the always excellent DKA. The project of Peter Roglin, aka Charolastra, the Fugitive Artifact moniker is foggy, acid laced cold wave, perfect for the live stage and dark danceflooors. Designed to be a vehicle to explore his darker, colder side, he wanted to do away with the laptop as much as possible, relying solely on drum machines and synthesizers. For Roglin, this project is about relinquishing control and embracing the ephemeral impermanence of musical ideas. The theme of relinquishing control is at the centerpiece of Deferentiator in both approach and subject matter. Today we you the sixth track, "Personal".

A charity VA compilation to support the on-going freedom protests in Iran featuring 16 diverse tracks from talented "flinta*femme" artists.

We are absolutely thrilled showcasing 16 unique and exceptional tracks at this charity compilation. From the haunting echoes of Post-Punk to the energetic EBM landscapes, from the cold dark resonance of Wave to the pulsating rhythms of industrial Techno beats and acid spaces. We celebrate the myriad shades that give music its true depth.
16 Tracks, 1 Cause: Creativity with Purpose
Each track is a testament to the diversity and creativity of the artists involved and a creative expression contributing to a greater cause.
Featuring an incredible line-up of artist including Lady Maru, Berlin Bunny, Substencia, Sch_tsch, Abby Knives, Tasime, Mila Chiral, Maze DK, Maedon, Willillah, Mouth Wound, Nnamel, Eve Schwarz, Inverno, Panternoise and Wvalaam Klous.

At the heart of this initiative is a collaboration with FEMENA, an organization founded by Sussan Tahmasebi, dedicated to supporting women human rights defenders (WHRDs) and feminist movements in the challenging socio-political landscape of the MENA and Asia regions.

This collaboration seeks to make a positive impact through the universal language of music, amplifying the voices of those facing restrictions in Iran. Given the challenges and restrictions on direct financial support in Iran, this partnership aims to provide much-needed aid via FEMENA.

In the spirit of unity and freedom:
No woman is free until all woman are free.
No human is free until all humans are free.

This compilation stands as a testament to artistic expression and a reminder that our freedom is intertwined.

‘Deep End’, Pandhora’s first 2024 release, maintains representative characteristics of their music: moments of calm preceding deep drops, dreamy keyboards, subtle progressions, and immersive sonic atmospheres. But, what else is behind this track?

The sonic impact of ‘Deep End’ is, in essence, a clear invitation to the dancefloor and to disconnect from the superficial aspects that can become visible in clubs and festivals. Although we may be surrounded by hundreds of people at times, we can feel alone, disconnected, and at times, dissociate.

Dealing with uncomfortable emotions is achievable through excitement and reconnecting with what we truly love: calm amidst chaos, love, harmony, and meaningful connections through music.

‘Deep End’ is inspired by those performances when connecting with music is not the focal point. Instead, music becomes another embellishment tainted by modern humanity, drug consumption, glamor, luxury, and the heavy use of cell phones. When family and friends are far away, and when home feels farther than ever, these situations can take their toll on artists.

While it might seem the inspiration for ‘Deep End’ arises from sheer criticism, it is merely a reminder to have a good time without disconnecting from what truly matters in life, going back to the essentials.

Sometimes love manifests in unpredictable forms. It encompasses both romantic intensity and toxic depths.

This is precisely what ‘Entre Deux’, the latest single of Pandhora, signifies. The title plays with the notion of two individuals who, while complementing one another, find themselves ensnared in an endless loop of anguish.

Accompanied by a diverse percussion set and an array of textures and progressive sequences, the voice within ‘Entre Deux’ serves as a sonic pendulum for Pandhora to articulate their thoughts on commitment and belonging.
