Second State will drop its next various artists' compilation this summer featuring 12 artists from today’s techno scene, showcasing their individual sound and production skills. The 11 tracks each incorporate elements from techno sub-genres to create a varied and intoxicating release from the Berlin imprint, welcoming Second State regulars and new names alike to continue paving the way for the label’s sound. 

Returning to Second State is Yotam Avni, who opens the record with the dynamically layered ‘Panic’. The breakdowns of this track switch up during its flow, varying in intensity as it progresses. Valentinø and My Flower hasten the pace with ‘Lightfire’, packed with minimal drumwork, booming bass and phased bursts of ethereal keys. Up next is Simon Stiglmeier with a piece of kaleidoscopic techno in ‘Dancy’, complete with a grooving vocal synth. SOTO follows with enveloping bass and rippling synth waves in ‘Core’, whilst Techno live band Komfortrauschen power on with a warbling bassline and whirring atmospherics with ‘Each Second’. 

‘Subconscious Reset’ from Juliet Fox contributes a barrage of alarms and sharp, chilling synths that echo menacingly throughout, followed by Isabel Soto with pulsating cut ‘Momentum’ - a stripped back, down-tempo roller. Gutto Serta takes listeners down a rabbit hole with trippy cut ‘Maximize’, with airy pads whispering underneath bleeps and a sultry vocal sample. Building the record to crescendo is Dextro’s booming and raucous track ‘Omonoia’, with razor sharp hoover sounds and an earth-shattering kick & hi-hat combo. Maintaining the powerful energy is Daryl Stay with his propulsive weapon ‘Phalanx’, followed by the final track from Avision, ‘Tunnel’, featuring playful synth and acid lines that bounce over the phased percussion, and a shift in pitch to build the track’s intensity.

Hailing from the South West of England, Redemption is celebrated for his signature underground techno sound, blending driving beats with haunting melodies that captivate audiences. With a steadily growing fanbase, he has become a recognised name in the international techno community, particularly resonating with fans in Germany, where he frequently headlined events throughout 2024. His releases in 2024 have continuosly presence the Beatport Top 100.

Originally from Morocco and now based in
the UK, BLILI partially started out with an
interest in trance music in the early 2010's
before ever stepping into techno. Intrigued
with spinning records and making crowds dance, he taught himself how to blend and
mix tracks. A producer first and DJ second
with ten years under his belt, having played
at some major local nightclubs such as E1,
Ministry of Sound, Egg London and Venue MOT to name a few, producing came naturally. With a list of top labels for his releases including ASS3, Reload Records, Space Kraft, Redlof and more - BLILI has been pushing forward his musical vision since his debut release in 2018 gaining international support from pioneering artists such as Richie Hawtin, Dave Clark, Dax J, Kaiser, Luke Slater and more. His sound is a distinct blend of techno that combines the industrial warehouse aesthetic with advanced synthesis techniques, creating repetitive sequences and hypnotic grooves, all united by a sense of economy to get the hardest impact out of just a few elements.

From rocking clubs and public spaces in LA to building UDC into a platform for rising underground talent, Corbeatz is preparing for the global stage — with Tomorrowland’s CORE Stage Los Angeles firmly in sight.

Deus Deserto is an up and coming producer/dj whose love for old school grooves and melancholic yet energetic beats can be felt through his electric creations. Focusing on bringing a positive, up-beat atmosphere to life, Deus Deserto infuses the inspiration of household names like Eric Prydz, Faithless, Adam Beyer, Daft Punk, and Dubfire into his tracks. 

Both thoughtful and creative in his craft, Deus Deserto’s music is all about the energy it creates for listeners with the goal in mind to always have them moving their body to the music. A staple of this infectious energy comes from his blending of old school beats that seamlessly blend in with modern day techno music.

Wondering the origins of Deus Deserto? It’s simple: “God from the Desert”. The name is a personal ode to his own origin in his birth country of Qatar.

Fortunate to grow up around the rich club culture of NYC and influenced by the sounds around him, Avision now finds himself helping to usher in a new wave of techno for the New York scene.  His debut album In My Mind has been released on Maceo Plex’s Ellum Audio imprint, which DJ Mag UK has called “an impressive body of work stuffed full of melodic techno and maximal house”.

Anthony Cardinale aka Avision started young on the turntables at the age of 12,  gained his first residency at 15, and hasn’t looked back since.  Recent touring highlights include gigs at The Brooklyn Mirage & Time Warp in NYC, Off Sonar in Barcelona, EDC Las Vegas, Space Miami, Watergate Berlin and Stereo Montreal.

Around the same time as his DJ career started, he began to hone his production skills in the studio, and has developed a distinctly New York-flavored techno sound that he’s now bringing to the world.  Over the last number of years, he’s had releases on a range of influential labels across the spectrum of techno; from Ellum and Drumcode, to Hardgroove and Truncate to name a few. 

Avision has also recently started the Ground Rule Collective, an outlet which brings together all of the different aspects of his creative passions: music,  events, clothing, art, and food - all driven by New York influence. The events portion of Ground Rule has launched with a recurring series of events in New York at Superior Ingredients (formerly Output), and the first clothing line drop followed shortly after.  The philosophy of Ground Rule will mirror the development of Anthony as Avision, “staying true to the music, the art form and myself is something I always want to push forward.”
