It's been more than a year since UK native BEC joined the Second State roster and although she has been touring regularly with the crew in that time, she has yet to release her first EP. Until now. With the release of her Relentless EP, BEC showcases her enigmatic style in two exceptionally solid tunes that are primed to take on dance floors worldwide. Kicking things off is the title track 'Relentless' and it flawlessly boasts BEC’s approach as both a producer and DJ.

With the groundwork laid on a foundation of robust percussion, a mesmerizing shimmer of arpeggios transport you to a far off cluster of stars while a lush wash of warm pads spawn a vibrant backdrop of enduring scenery. It's the perfect combination of energy and depth, ripe for peak time trips in any kind of environment. Following up on the B-side is 'Nascent' and it's the ideal counterpart to 'Relentless'. Taking a darker, more serious approach, 'Nascent' grabs a tight hold right from the "get go". An infectious rhythm rapidly sets the pace as flickers of cosmic effects and rich stabs drive the energy upward. Soon an eery, yet elated sweeping synth bathes you in an euphoric sense of comfort before it slowly fades away into a deep dark distance.

Not Another may have been around for less than a year, but the budding Brazilian label has already managed to score three sensational EPs that lend the imprint’s namesake some undeniable merit. Beyond will be the fourth they issue, forged by cofounder Be Morais. It comes equipped with three remixes, including a rework of “Beyond Feelings” from Alex Justino. Brooding and ethereal, his remix is one that draws on droning pads, driving drums, and a firestorm of swirling textures born for those deep and meaningful moments on the move.

Our next vinyl release comes from one of our core artists and the most recent commander of our HUB series, Clint Stewart. It is safe to say by now, that Stewart's strength and appeal lies in his versatility and his most recent EP ‘Shadows On The Wall’ may be the best example yet. Spanning dark, massive cuts to uplifting, ethereal journeys, his compositions always remain steadfast in their focus to create dramatic, emotional narratives and unforgettable moments. From the start, the self titled ’Shadows On The Wall’ featured in Pan-Pot’s debut BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix sees Clint deliver his heaviest tune to date where unrelenting percussion lays the foundation for an onslaught of climactic sonic eruptions emanating in an impressive display of powerful vibrations. ‘Nias’ takes a different trajectory as it shoots into celestial spaces where throbbing low end and lush pads harmonize into a vibrant array of gorgeous, shimmering aural arrangements. Following the approach of the previous two but landing somewhere in the middle is ‘Lost On Kauai’ where heaving drums and monumental bass converge with fever inducing arpeggios creating an incredible tension of opposing dynamics. Finally, completing the EP is the digital bonus ‘Ghost Tree’ whose low slung groove and eery pads make the perfect weapon for the strangely unique occasions.

Berlin based DJ and producer Marco Resmann steps up on Upon.You to release his Voyager EP, featuring the deep and rolling techno track ‘Glide’.
 
With releases on respected imprints like Poker Flat and Watergate, Resmann steps up on Upon.You, the label he co-founded and leads the A&R department. With roots in Berlin his brand of techno fuses hypnotic elements to create an enveloping atmosphere and his new material is a clear example of this.
 
‘Glide’ is a smooth anthem with a dark motif, as heavy bass lays the foundation for a rolling sawtooth synth line to carry through eerie textures. It’s clearly a dancefloor weapon, one that will be in high demand on the club circuit.
 
The Voyager EP also includes three more originals from Resmann and is set for release June 19.
