Il progetto elettronico sperimentale TWISTED TRANSISTORS nasce per esplorare tutte le possibili amalgame che si
possono ottenere da un intenso lavorìo dei suoni elettronici e sperimentali, quali quelli creati da giocattoli modificati
e trasformati in generatori di suono, e dei suoni analogici di synth d’epoca. L'intenzione è quella di realizzare un
improvvisato scontro tra i suoni per confermare il principio che "ad ogni azione corrisponde sempre una reazione uguale
e contraria".
Le due menti elettroniche si muovono tra tecnica e improvvisazione, dando vita ogni volta ad un live sempre diverso,
un evento unico creato appositamente per e con il pubblico. Nuovi suoni, nuove sensazioni, elettricità liberata nell’aria
per porre gli spettatori di fronte a qualcosa di originale, aleatorio e inaspettato. Atmosfere e loop che richiamano la
psichedelia elettronica anni ’70 dei Tangerine dream, di Klaus Schulze e la scena kraut post-elettronica e ambient/glitch
di Alva Noto e Autechre.
Il progetto è nato nel 2008 dall’incontro tra due musicisti e due realtà elettroniche diverse. Matteo De Ruggieri
(aka. EraSer) è un musicista sperimentale che suona con giocattoli e strumenti modificati, con precedenti importanti
esperienze estere (e non) in festival internazionali dedicati alla musica sperimentale e contemporanea (Bent Festival/
New York & Minneapolis, DIY Festival/Zurigo, Les Digitales Festival/Neuchatel, Robot Festival/Bologna); e Raffaele
Stellacci, da sempre innamorato delle sonorità calde dei sintetizzatori analogici, si muove da lungo tempo nella scena
indie-alternative barese, ed è attualmente tastierista dei Fabryka, band in ascesa del panorama indie pop, con cui si
è esibito in alcuni dei festival locali più importanti di musica indie e contemporanea (Time Zones/Bari, Experimenta,
Giovinazzo rock festival).
