Welcome to the see signals sea noise podcast, an outreach program within the framework of the long-running artistic research project Computer Signals by Hannes Rickli (with Valentina Vuksic, Birk Weiberg and Christoph Stähli). This project includes a vast archive, which results from the interest in observing form an artistic perspective how biologists conduct their climate impact research.

In this episode, we held a conversation with dianita, an artist and multi-instrumentalist from Vevey based in Bern, Switzerland. dianita was invited to explore and interpret the recorings form the Computer Signals Audio Archive, which then resulted in a live performance. We spoke about her experience working with the archive, her artistic practice, and finding voices in the noise.

Ben Kaczor's singular sound bridges a wide emotional spectrum, blending influences of techno, deep house and dub techno into a minimal, straightforward and vulnerable aesthetic. His music balances dubby, monochrome atmospheres and melancholia, producing deep self-connection in different environments. The swiss DJ, producer and curator joined Dial Records in 2023 and co-founded St. Odes, a label dedicated to deep house, dub techno and multidisciplinary art. Across all his projects, Kaczor consistently returns to his core pursuit: creating something that's meant to be felt, not deconstructed.
