One of the most in-demand session musicians in Los Angeles, guitarist and songwriter Jay Gore has toured the world sharing the stage with such artists as Hilary Duff, Lauryn Hill, Michael McDonald, Michael Bolton, Bobby Caldwell, The Pointer Sisters, Keb’ Mo, Marcus Miller, Christopher Cross, Sheila E, Eddie Money, Lalah Hathaway, Rick James, Seal, and countless others. A gifted songwriter, Jay has written and produced music for hit TV shows, such as 90210, Miami Ink, American Dad, E.R., Party of Five and others. Jay's funky guitar playing and production expertise can be heard on albums from artists as diverse as Sly Stone, Stephen Bishop, The Veronicas, Siedah Garrett, The Matrix, Edgar Winter, David Paich, and Greek superstar Anna Vissi, to name a few. When he's not writing songs for hit artists, Jay's main passion is writing and recording his own original music. On Jay's most ambitious album to date, with the tongue-in-cheek title "Bong Water," Jay checks all the boxes from the funky to the sublime with a little something for every taste. The songwriting is superb and Jay invited some very talented guests to bring these great tunes to life - including his old pal, the award-winning songwriter and vocalist Kevin Fisher on the rock ballad "Love These Days," a gorgeous song they co-wrote - vocalists Kari Waller and Sareet Rimon were brought in to add their golden voices to the searing ballads "I Was Leaving Anyway" and "You're Just Another Song." For all the guitar aficionados, the album features five of Jay's stunning guitar instrumentals from the rocking title track which hits harder than a bong - to the smoldering guitar pyrotechnics of "Ibiza Nights."  Once again, Jay's velvet touch is ever present throughout.

A leading light on the Turkish Electronic Music scene for almost 3 decades, the Istanbul based Producer has recently been strengthening his reputation around the World with a string of releases on such esteemed labels as Innervisions, Exit Strategy, Multinotes and his own blossoming Isolate imprint which he helms alongside his longtime partner and friend, Alican.

Now he adds Selador to his already impressive CV courtesy of the triumphant Eye To Eye EP - Three original productions of equal merit and potency that all shine brightly on their own meteoric pathways.

The title track arrives into the ring brimming with swagger, delivering a first-round flurry of punches few will recover from but in the unlikely event youre not immediately on the floor, Compass then lands another lethal combination - a proper pair of mind melters that will bring tears to your eyes and a wobble to your jaw. And whilst we have you on the ropes before you can catch your breath, Couscous moves in for the kill. Just take it on the chin, its time to throw the towel in.

Born in Munich, Germany in the mid-80s, Raphael Mader starts our week with a Guest Mix for 6AM listeners.

Already as a teenager he started making music in his child's room, developing skills at producing, sound engineering and mastering on his own projects.

With his production Raphael wraps our consciousness into a pastel-colored fog that is an intense feeling of longing and fills our hearts with the bittersweet potion of melancholy. The music draws its compelling power from a melodic warmth that has almost the quality of a physical force. He uses the emotional undertow of human voices and takes us on a journey full of synthetic elegance and bass boost.

He is definitely one of the rising artists in the electronic music scene- big labels such as Renaissance, Steyoyoke, Lost On You, Dear Deer, Pursuit and 3000Grad signed his latest work recently. He also gained a lot of support by several leading national and international artists playing his tracks in their sets- his ambition and his musically perception of modern Techno will certainly keep him on the right track.
