Huminal are back on Einmusika. The amsterdam based duo created a beautiful EP with their typical signature sound. "Restless Desire" is an uplifting and positive melodic techno tune with a simple and catchy main melody. "Ecliptica" is more calm and groovy. The track opens up during the break with a processed vocal sample. "Remove The Comfort Zone" is a perfect track for the after-hour with it's crazy effect sounds and a strong beat.

Around Us consists of Amsterdam based underground dance music veterans Jan and Gaby who have been active in the scene for two+ decades each. Two years ago they've decided to team up and form Around Us, and they haven't looked back since. The very productive duo has been turning heads with releases on labels such as Mango Alley, Magnitude Recordings, Cinematique, BC2, LuPS Records and countless other quality imprints.

Now they make their return to Manual Music's MNL imprint, teaming up with Mexican born- and raised Reyul Mather who now resides in California, and has releases under his belt on labels such as Traum Qilla and Electronic Tree. The result is the deep and intelligent 'Project 01'. Moody analogue melodics, you just gotta love this one!

First up on remix duties it's Dutch duo Jaap Ligthart & Saléh who turn 'Project 01' in a melodic and somewhat quirky, uplifting tune. Modern day sounding but with a little bit of a German 90's vibe going on, this one is quite unique!

The second remix comes from Teiko Yume who makes his first appearance on MNL. Always aware of the great musical spectrum that electronic music offers,It is essential for him to explore and navigate between genres during his sets and also in his productions, undoubtedly he always has something interesting to offer which he proves here with this great heady remix!

We start the new year with the first edition of mixed ep series. "Collage 01" features three calm and moody tracks.

"You" by Tobi Kramer is emotional yet happy and brings some festival vibes to the dark season.

"No Romance" by Carlo Whale is dreamy and has Carlo's signature sound with a repeating and catchy main melody.

"Confusion" by Narik has a laid-back groove next to floating pad's and reverberant stabs.

From the label’s inception, the Showcase collections have been a pivotal part of the Selador release schedule, an opportunity to bring you more new music by a plethora of insanely talented artists. A quick glance at some of the names to have graced previous editions on their way to dancefloor domination (eg Anii, Marc DePulse, Dee Montero, Biesmans, EdOne, Third Son, Robbie Akbal) shows that these collections always achieve that rare feat of marrying quality & quantity.

As 2021 dawns, we bring you The Twelfth Night – and such is the sheer volume of quality tunes we had to select from, we will be celebrating hitting the dozen mark with a double header, featuring 12 choice cuts split over two jam-packed EPs. Nurse, the vaccine right now if you please!

The first instalment gives a taste of the truly global nature of electronic music, with breakout stars from numerous scenes worldwide at the controls. 

At the helm is our very own Dave Seaman, who kicks off the new year with ‘Buzzfuzzle’, a dirty jackin’ house throbber 2021 style, aided by a brain-melting mid-track breakdown.

Next up, Italian duo Ivan Masa and Mattia Pompeo, who already have a string of respected labels and DJ supporters on their CVs, drop their latest offering ‘Tape’ which deftly fuses pulsating moodiness with euphoric interludes. 

Back to the UK, James Harcourt, no stranger to starring for Team Seaman, having previously released on Audio Therapy in the ‘00s, brings us ‘Litoloko’. It’s seven and a half minutes of bouncy, wonky, ethereal madness and we love it. 

We then head over to Israel for prolific DJ & promoter Omer Bar to provide the fourth piece in the jigsaw. ‘Dynamic Cube’ is a seriously taut slice of electronic sophistication.

Next up, a transcontinental meeting of minds as Egyptian born, Vienna based Darksidevinyl teams up with Argentina’s Tomy Wahl for the brooding builder that is ‘Yuande’. 

And last but by no means least, we finish on a high courtesy of London based producer Nichols who provides a rousing finale in the form of ‘Mood Frequency’. 

What a way to start 2021! 

Team Selador: Happy New Year y’all

Starting 2021 kicking like yer proverbial mule, hot on the heels of The Selador Showcase: The Twelfth Night Part One, we are proud to present, with a characteristic mix of dexterity, alacrity and logic – Part Two! 

Like its predecessor, this second instalment once again puts the spotlight on a whole host of global electronic production talent (2 x welcome returnees, 4 x Selador debutants) and covers a multitude of styles in one essential package.

First, we find hot Russian duo Goom Gum in tandem with Istanbul-based Gaidukova. ‘Freedom’ is a wonderfully constructed riff fest, underpinned by a mean growling bassline. Peak time action.

Next up, the prolific Several Definitions (Switzerland) brings us the magnificent brooding beast that is ‘Boske’. Maximum wonkiness, just how we like it.

UK scene stalwart Kiz Pattison delivers ‘Intruder’ – this particular intrusion is most welcome though as the insistent lead riff burrows its way into the darkest recesses of your cranium. Hold tight.

London-based Rashid Ajami follows renowned for the emotional depth of his productions, and the beautiful ‘The Lie’, in partnership with Dröm, will only help cement that reputation. Proper swish.

Next from Spain, we welcome Martin HERRS & Thimble, whose hypnotic ‘Impala’ is awash with exotic sounds cascading over a pulsating bassline. Deep, unrelenting business. 

And we conclude with Nila, the New Zealand-based Scot adding to his growing stature with Asyn on the yearning vocals for the powerful, instantly inspiring ‘Answers’.

Our releases are usually DJ friendly and dance floor oriented, but we like special sounds too and here is our chance to present something different.

This time we deliver you four amazing melodic techno tunes. When we listened to the demos of AND 16. we thought "f..ck this guy is crazy" - he is not, but his sounds…

Nice grooves, immersive melodies, piano, guitar, asymmetric elements with AND 16.'s craziness.
