Jim Rivers, veteran of Bedrock and Renaissance and more recently heard killing it on Poker Flat, takes the road more dubby, with snatches of Andres vocal teased in and around an altogether tougher re-rub that will undoubtedly find favour in the darker recesses of discerning dancefloors far and wide, as it builds towards its epic crescendo. The Ambient mix has already found favour with chill out dons Pete Gooding and Phat Phil Cooper – this beatless beauty will be soundtracking a White Isle sunset near you soon. Meanwhile the Radio Edit distils the wondrous essence of the lengthy main version into four magnificent minutes. it all began way back in the early 90s on a cold gloomy day, while listening to a 12'' Funky House record by the one and only legendary pioneer, Junior Jack I had dug through that day at the local record store(I think it was a white label back then and I had no clue who the record was written by at the the time!) and then the feeling took over, never left and kept evolving into a whole a lot in the magikal Electronica spectrum...uplifting & emotional Trance, Tech Trance, Progressive Trance, Club Trance, Progressive House, Electro House, House...this is all after my Funkmaster Flex era, but that's another story for another gloomy busy day....

These are some of my vintage and current DJ mixes from my 25+ years on the frontline trenches and recordings I've done from the "backstage" : : : ''bunker" sessions - just a cool spot (an expressive, creative sanctuary)I was lucky enough to hammer some wax and put together a few mixes where Black Sabbath and The Offspring used to jam in their early days. A true underground mecca, located right next to an old military base, a bunker where smoke machines, laser lights, heavy hitting line-arrays (this was before breaking over many circuits and over 20-30 pairs of speakers :/) and floor shaking//spine tingling bottoms lead the night and guide you into those blissful oceanic sunrises...creating some of the most blissful memories for me! Eventually, ended up owning and running the place, which was a nightmare on itself dealing with all the bands and artists!! 😅

A Guernsey based DJ, Toby is recognised for his underground sounds at local clubs, bars and festivals.

Toby is heavily influenced by the deeper side of the underground genre, inspired by labels such as Anjunadeep, Afterlife and Knee Deep In Sound. These unique, deep flavours have become a staple in his sets across the island, providing the Guernsey music scene something fresh and intriguing.

In 2020, Toby co-established Deeper Grooves - an underground movement advocating the deeper essence of house and electronic music, providing many successful events across the local music scene.

This established array of sounds has lead Toby to be a go to name on line ups for local club events and festivals. Most recently playing along side Biscits (Solotoko) and having a short residency at AC Bar Beach Club in Koh Tao, Thailand.
