One of Italy’s finest purveyors of jazzy and soulful house beats, Academy alumnus Broke One, returns this February with a new EP. ‘This Thing Called Reality’ collects four tasteful takes on Big Bait Records’ random color series with 555 individually colored records. “Don’t Fight the Feeling,” the second groove on the record’s A-side, is built around Herbie Hancock’s musings on what he learned about mistakes from Miles Davis. The tune itself bears strong traces of a jazz signature and will slide nicely into your crates next to the likes of Max Graef and Theo Parrish.

Artwork has been designed & donated by Selections artist Jamn Ensemble. We want to use this time to give back to black culture, as this music is rooted in black culture and without that we wouldn’t have this platform to begin with. Systemic racism is real. Police brutality is real. We will always fight to support our brothers and sisters around us, to uplift through music, and to use this as platform to educate and progress.
