Juno Review -Toronto label Selections has become a firm favourite with house heads and now starts a nice sideline with its Special Edition 2023 series. This one welcomes Lea Lisa with her track 'Conversation Between Us' (Heide Club Mix) which is straight up underground house for the heads. Then comes an unreleased Javonntte remix of Evenn's 'One For Love' that pairs things back to raw dub essentials. Dan Only's 'Love Saturates' then gets a fine and formerly unreleased remix by Italy's Black Loops that has pristine drum programming and a fine bassline. Add in Sean Roman's jazzy dancer 'Sir William' and Jamn Ensemble's 'Convection' and you have a timeless house EP.

It's always very touching to find musical testimonials. Over 20 years ago, my booking agency asked me to record this mix. In 2002, I was very inspired by the San Francisco scene. There were some great labels, DJs and artists there... What makes me happy is that I could still play 95% of those records. Time goes by too quickly, but I'm still as passionate and involved as ever. It was a great period, we played 100% vinyl, I scoured the record shops... This mix is an opportunity to look back on a past with tons of great memories. How can you not let first 'interstate 55'  words define him: "Chicago Southside, that night in July 1995, House Music changed my life." 

From then on , he was part of the circle of press correspondents in Chicago for Coda and Trax magazines in Paris between 1995 and 1998 who interviewed some names as Paul Johnson, Derrick Carter, Cajmere, Boo Williams, DJ Funk, Dance Mania Crew...

25 years later, he decided to get back into the mix to promote the Underground between USA and Europe for getting in touch with people who share the same passion. How could we be more on the same wavelength ?
