Wir freuen uns sehr unsere nächste DJ Carool präsentieren zu dürfen. Carool steht bereits seit mehr als 10 Jahren hinter den Decks. Als leidenschaftliche Sammlerin, die bereits Mitte der Neunziger Jahre ihre ersten Hip Hop Platten kaufte, legt die Leipzigerin auch heute noch ausschließlich mit Vinyl auf. 
Ihre Sets bieten stets einen frischen Mix aus entspanntem 90ies Hip Hop, zuckersüßem Neo Soul sowie melodischen Lofi-, Jazzhop- und Future Beats.
 
In ihrem „Identity“ Mix zeigt Carool ihre ganz eigene Interpretation des #BlackOurStory Month und nimmt die Zuhörer*innen mit auf eine musikalische Reise durch Schwarze Lebensrealitäten der letzten 25 Jahre.
 
Carool ist Teil des Leipziger BiPOC Kollektivs „Music of Color“, die unter anderem wöchentliche Radioshows und wechselnde Veranstaltungen organisieren, immer unter dem Motto: „by the Community for the Community“.

For more than 10 years Carool stands behind the decks. She is a passionate vinyl collector who bought her first Hip Hop records in the mid 90s.
Her strictly vinyl sets always offer a fresh mix of relaxed 90s Hip Hop, sweet Neo
Soul and melodic Lofi, Jazz Hop as well as Future Beats.
In her exclusive "Identity" mix, Carool shows us her very own interpretation of
#BlackOurStory Month. She takes the listeners on a journey that represents Black experiences of the last 25 years.
Carool is part of the BIPOC collective "Music of Color" based in Leipzig, which among other things organize weekly radio shows and rotating events. Their motto is: "By the Community for the Community".

In January 2020 the party and mix tape series “Selectricity” started in the legendary Roxy Club in Cologne.

On the occasion of the Black History Month 2022, the mixtape series „Selectricity“ collaborated with „Decolonize Cologne“, an initiative founded by three historians, enriching their work with a musical debate among Black DJ’s and Artists.

Since then, the collaboration exists. For more to come. . .
