This new mix showcases the sound I hear in my head when I think about a beautiful hybrid of breakbeat, techno and electro. It's also representative of the kind of Elite Force sets you'll hear from me in the live arena, as I return to the fray in 2023 after a four-year absence!

To craft a mix that had the exact feel I was looking for, I used 24 tracks in some shape or form, pulling many of them apart, rearranging them and adding liberal ly from my own extensive sample library. This set includes 11 Elite Force VIP edits, several acapellas / acidapellas and lashings of breakbeat-techno-electro love.

My Heart Beat feat. Kieran Fowkes - Mystik Vybe (Radio Edit)

This set was first performed on January 1st 2024 in San Francisco at the Breakfast of Champions block party on the Space Cowboys main stage.

A RE:CONSTRUCTED set is a *long* way removed from a standard DJ set. It's a live/hybrid set.

Simon takes hundreds of tracks from his huge library, painstakingly deconstructs them (using Ai if needed to separate elements from the original tracks), and then pieces everything back together to create a hugely emotive and immersive musical story.

He uses Ableton Live and multiple controllers to trigger up to 16 individual channels of audio at any one time during the performance, and also performs live keyboard overdubs. The end result is a hugely addictive, compulsive and compelling blend of music that's often new, often familiar but always utterly unique.

Mystik Vybe, a maestro molded by the pulsating heart of Bucharest's vibrant music scene, embarked on his sonic journey from a tender age, immersing himself in the harmonies of various instruments. It was the late 90s when his fervor for electronic beats ignited, fueled by mesmerizing performances in his hometown by luminaries such as John Digweed, Deep Dish, Sasha, Groove Armada, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Luciano, and Hernan Cattaneo.

Venturing into the realm of DJ-ing in 2011, Mystik Vybe honed his craft further by studying music production in the electrifying landscapes of London. His melodic exploits have graced the stages of cities like Bucharest, London, Ibiza, Barcelona, Moscow, and beyond. The rhythmic tapestry of his creations has found a home on esteemed labels like Deeplomatic Recordings, Witty Tunes, Safe Music, Selectro, Baikonur Recordings and many more.

Notably, 2015 witnessed Mystik Vybe reaching the pinnacle of the Romanian music scene, securing a spot as a finalist in the prestigious Burn Residency competition. His multifaceted productions span the electronic spectrum, seamlessly weaving through tech house, deep house, minimal/deep tech, techno, and electronica.

The resonance of Mystik Vybe's sound has reverberated across charts, earning accolades and support from industry luminaries such as Claptone, Stefano Noferini, Paco Osuna, Claude Von Stroke, and a slew of other trailblazers. / In 2010 and 2011 Selectro gets the award for the "Best concept for a party series in Romania" at the Nights.ro Awards.
/ It made its debut at Activ FM Radio Station in 2010. The show was intended to be from the outset, an interactive one, broadcasting live guests performances - keeping its main focus on Romanian artists. In 2015, the show swithched to Dance FM Romania.
/ 2017 is proving to be a perfect year for the official launch of Selectro as label featuring eclectic Deep-Tech House releases.
