Some weeks ago, just before our holiday break, we made a selection of some records in a session that truly felt like a healing therapy. With no goal or objective other than enjoying the cleansing power of sound, we made a mix of ambient, jazz, videogame soundtracks, some folk music, and honestly, whatever our soul was craving. 

The result is an (almost) vinyl only mix that has become the 41st chapter in our beloved Selene Series podcast. A listening exercise with no script in our most spontaneous set up to date. Sit back, slow down, and enjoy this horizontal sonic experience.

Inspiration comes from the most unexpected places and moments, some of them tough... and in the last couple of weeks, we have been struck by it, right in time for the arrival of the Wolf Moon. For our 42nd episode of Selene Series we needed something "floaty", "bubbly", a sound that shifts gravity and makes the heavy weight of our bodies almost disappear. 

We came up with a selection of breaks, ambient and experimental music that truly feels, to us, like a bubble bath exercise, in which weight becomes nothing, in which pain fades, and in which bodies become feathers dancing to the winds of the sound.

Invitado muy especial, por el cariño y admiración que le tengo. Conozco a pocas personas con una devoción, respeto y dedicación total por la música como @davidlost.

Con una trayectoria que abarca desde los oscuros sonidos del E.B.M., el New Wave, hasta la elegancia del techno industrial de los inicios de la electrónica, David Lost ha creado atmósferas envolventes y tejido un viaje sonoro que trasciende géneros a lo largo de su carrera.

DJ y melómano en su esencia, un coleccionista de sonidos que ha dejado su huella en diferentes salas de Barcelona, España y traspasar la frontera Pirenaica hasta llegar a Alemania.

Ha sido promotor y residente, junto a Omar León, de las fiestas The Dark Side of de Moog, en estas noches en el Moog, abundaban las mezclas dedicadas a la Dark Wave, el Post-punk y los sonidos gélidos e industriales que provienen de los 80´s y con ellos hicieron que la ciudad tuviese un referente en este tipo de sonido.

Además de sus habilidades detrás de los platos, David Lost es el dueño de Lostracks Records, un proyecto que refleja su profundo compromiso con la música y su deseo de compartir tesoros musicales únicos con el mundo.

For podcast #193 we bring you Colombian DJ and producer, Hod with a dreamy trip formed almost entirely of his own creations.

To learn that Hod is a project arising “from the deep belief in the liberating strength of sound” may not come as a surprise if you’re familiar with his work. The distinctive Hod spirit and sense of divine elevation radiating from his creations certainly speaks as an expression of this core sentiment. What we adore about a Hod journey - be it his productions or mixes - is that they are often as much a rhythmic expedition as a spacey and emotional one, pulsating, oscillating, swirling in feeling and intensity, consistently carrying us along in a delicious state of mesmerism.
