Every new St. Abdullah record is an attempt to present new ideas and To Live A La West is no exception. Spread out over a CD on Imprec and a cassette on sister label Cassauna, To Live A La West is simply moving, a collection of profound and spiritual tracks miraculously existing at the impossible intersection of free jazz and electro where mystery and clarity exist together. Neither complicated or complex but profound, St. Abdullah’s new work is partially inspired by their love for Jon Hassell’s compositions. 

This CD is packaged in a heavy duty digipack with metallic gold printing. Guest appearances by John Butcher and Aquiles Navarro.

Trailblazing Spanish techno DJ and producer Indira Paganotto inaugurates her new label Artcore with a vigorous EP. Spanning a distinctive fusion of techno, psytrance and flamenco, the imprint’s stellar debut showcases Indira’s free-spiritedness and
open-minded approach to making music.

An outpost exclusively for her own productions, the launch follows a string of releases via prominent techno labels KNTXT, Second State and Octopus Records. Driven to present her artistic evolution to the world, followers can expect to find Indira shrewdly combining her techno skills with more instrumentals, as well as unique genre clashes.

"For me, my music is a state of trance,” Indira explains. “Each track has to tell a lot of stories with sensitivity and romanticism while looking backwards to our roots and forwards to visions of the future. My Guns & Horses EP is a mixture of my 12-year career, my experiences in different
countries, my love for Asian culture and respect for my Spanish roots - flamenco!!! It also speaks of my passion for psytrance, a gift inherited from my father who spent more than ten years in India and was the one who instilled this sound and lifestyle in me.”

Opening track 'Jambo', is a slick roller which sees techno meet flamenco and a Spanish gypsy essence. Rippling with sounds that reach across frenetic flamenco guitar playing and psychedelic basslines, it’s one of Indira’s most distinct works to date.

"Vibe Quest Chapter One" is a sneak preview into label-head Sabo's upcoming full length LP, with 2 stellar remixes from Acid Pauli and Nadastrom.
"Vibe Quest" is a slow chill-out entry to ease you into this new deeper sound, and features Sabo's Mom, Carolyn Sabatini, live on the vibraphone. "Singing Game" is a mid tempo deep tribal cut complete with African percussion, thick bass, and builds into a beautiful breakdown sampling a group of small young girls from the Ivory Coast playing a game of call and response. This tune was 1st debuted on the Robot Heart bus in 2013 at Burning Man. Acid Pauli takes "Singing Game" and transforms it into club ready deep techno cut with analog synths weaving in and out, constantly building melodies until the climatic breakdown. Nadastrom take "Vibe Quest" into another dimension with an epic mid tempo journey into deep slow house. The remix builds and builds until the break down where they let the jazzy skills of Carolyn Sabatiini's vibraphone solo breath new life into the dance floor, before coming back in with the tribal groove.
