Welcome! Here is the 354th chapter of the Deep Electronics serie. Released every two weeks the serie brings you a diversity into the abyss of deep electronic music. This week Harry Towell aka Magnofon presents his mix  to celebrate is latest release that will be released soon. The link is in the description.

Bio:
Magnofon is a side-project for artist and composer Harry Towell, who is better known in the Ambient scene as Spheruleus, or for running the Whitelabrecs label. Harry’s background in electronic music began as a DJ some 20 years ago, and he played Deep House, Dub and Techno styles across the midlands in the UK. He has been active as Magnofon since 2013 with releases on labels such as Canopy Sounds, Art Nouveau Records and his own now-defunct label Warehouse Decay.

Harry’s latest album as Magnofon is called Terrarium, out now on Whitelabrecs under the label’s eRecords series. The album is a mixture of Dub Techno, Deep House, Ambient and Micro House and a concept inspired by the natural world and all things botanical. To promote the mix, Harry has created this mix for Deep Electronics, exploring deep dubbed out rhythms, obscure textures and ambient tones. The hour-long session includes a track from the Terrarium album, alongside the likes of Rod Modell, Sven Weisemann, Fluxion and Soela.

Born and raised between the fantastic mountain valleys of the Italian Dolomites and the industrial city of Ludwigshafen in Germany.
Spent most of his childhood playing in the woods. This past still connects him inseparably from nature and its forms of life.
He tries to convey this feeling of the infinite timelessness of the soul of nature with music in an understandable language.
Words can only approximate this.

His DJ sets are always driving, ritualistic.
Natural sounds and hypnotic melodies allow the listener to reach another state of consciousness.

This is how he describes his vision:
 “when time and space lose their meaning, when everyone is connected in unison to the music, united in one energy bubble, 
then the perfect state is reached. 
No thought separates us from the great unit. Only knowledge and joy move us to the beat“.

His productions are experimental, unorthodox. Since he is not a musician, he uses this "ignorance" and the freedom that results from it. 
Hypnotic rhythms and driving beats characterize his tracks, always filled with natural sounds.
The listener is transported in a space that seems to exist between the stars. Deep in his heart he believes in infinity and that time and space are only imaginations.
His goal is to express these inner feelings with music, so in 2021 he set out to develop his musical language.


“This journey will be endless, full of universes yet to be explored and they are all within us“.
