Many an interchange was had about similar tastes in records and a true understanding for the art of creating journeys in sets when you're playing one record after another.

And it's clear that wasn't just all fezzie talk... this hour long excursion takes you through the dulcet tones of well pieced together minimal numbers, before smoothly taking you into something all together completely & beautifully different. Ahead of the release of Serenity 001 a few days ago, we asked EP contributor John Shima to step up for the first of our mix series.

Shima's record 'Gravitron' was one of the key inspirations in deciding on the sound for this label, and everything he's made since day one has always been our go to. 

This Sheffield man is revered amongst heads for his impeccable production and dreamy synth lines. Not only that, but it turns out that he can put together a banging mix too. `

Following on from John Shima's expert 60 minutes for the opening of our mix series, Mihail P (the other half of 001's contributors) steps up to deliver another hour of floaty techno and synth-y breakbeat.

Much like Shima, Mihail P is revered for his amazing synth work and melodic production. The young Macedonian has quickly gathered a lot of attention, and rightfully so!

Giuliano Lomonte hails from Andria in the south of Italy, though a healthy passion for music has long coaxed him out its gorgeous Mediterranean climes. The mix described in his own words: "Well I wanted to give you guys something very special. It’s a part of my last set recorded live from Robert Johnson which I think shows exactly what people can expect of me as a DJ for any club set I play from opening, to main and also to after-hours.
