"The Fracture" is a sort of soundscape or sound experience created to describe the earthquake phenomena. 
The track was devevoped with digital sounds and a few natural sounds into a mutitrack editing.
This soundscape belongs to a editorial project called "Remote", a zine designed by me which two distant topics dialogue in an attempt to discover new visions, aspects not yet told. In this first issue earthquakes are are being associated with mental health and especially with shock and trauma. Sounds, glitches and noises are superimposed on each other to tell the chaos, the unpredictability and the drama of a shocking event such as the main shock during the earthquake but at the same time the personal experience of a trauma, of an unexpected shock.

This is me improvising an an ocarina, called a "puny tune," with a YouTube recording of Professor Masood Habibi on the daf.  My sister, Becky Sander-Cedarlof, bought this instrument for me as a birthday present.  This was performed at Jamballa Festival, in Portland, OR, with my daughter, Rachel Shelton, and her dance company, Kali Lila.
