London-based contemporary trio Quest Ensemble bring a unique take to the classical piano trio format.  A collaboration between 3 versatile performers/composers - Filipe Sousa (piano), Preetha Narayanan (violin) and Tara Franks (cello), their varied musical styles weave together a lyrical tapestry of sound, blending improvisation with co-created original compositions.

Drawing on influences as broad as the contemporary minimalism of John Adams and Steve Reich to medieval plainchant, the experimental melancholic textures of Radiohead to the progressive jazz precision of Brad Mehldau, their lyrical melodic lines, rich harmonies and interwoven rhythmic counterpoint place the trio in a unique musical landscape between chamber, jazz, folk and 21th century contemporary classical music.

Olindo Records is born in London from the music obsessives behind Colectivo Futuro, a cultural node where art forms and people converge. After +10 years of being a DJ collective and organisation, it was time to move to the next level and start releasing artists and music that we love. The goal of Rebel Up Records is to be a platform for artists from everywhere, native or diaspora. A big focus on contemporary ‘global’ traditional and electronic music to give various movements a voice that doesn't fit the 'world music' box. Sounds from the global underground is our motto! So far, we have releases from Ghana, Mexico/Brussels, Tunisia/Denmark and Iraq/Brussels, Morocco/Brussels, Portugal, Angola, the Arab diaspora, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, and much more.
