THE NIGHT HAS COME

Now that we are trapped in the dust
we miss the sky.
Past beauty seems like a dream
we’ll never find. 

We can’t return,
there’s no way back.
We didn’t do what we were told,
try to understand.
The game is over, 
we’ve lost the war. 
Now we are longing on this darkness
for what is gone.

We are in desert of smoke,

only shambles on the sight
hopeless souls.

burnt in fire

Peaceful days
melting down

Memories of better times
come to my  mind.
We see their shade as we pass
and wave goodbye.

It’s hard to know
