With six in six on Rejected Steve Bug is, what you might call, firmly part of the family. As is his regular sparring partner Cle. However, for the first of '23, the Berlin-based producer flies solo on two excellent late night, heavy-hitting, groovers.

Whilst describing the movements and sounds of the opening track to perfection, 'Grumble Bumble', is also a title that can deceive. There are no tired, ageing shapes being thrown to this mid noughties Pokerflat'esque soundtrack. Strobe light at the ready. Sweat on the walls, the warehouse is calling.

Beautifully countering the heads down stripped-back bounce of the A side, is the percussive and uplifting funk of 'Get Away From Me'. Skipping along on jazzy rides and rim-shots, its menacing chords are pierced by synth stabs, claps and a silky vocal, to create a track that balances power and poise to perfection.

Andrea Cassino, with such celebrated releases as “Divine”, “Losing Part of Me” and “Asante”, has been at the forefront of the progressive house scene for almost 15 years. Remixes for Kamilo Sanclemente & Dabeat, Rudy, Michael A and GMJ have also been notable highlights in the Italian-born producer’s star-studded portfolio, as he now returns to remix Savvas. Characterised by an effortless bouncing bass groove and immaculately syncopated percussion, the Andrea Cassino interpretation of “Wonder” retains some of the core melodic themes while turning it into a rolling, club-friendly gem. Sweeping string passages and the haunting vocal prevalent in the original make their presence heard, particularly at the atmospheric and evocative breakdown before the mesmerising groove takes hold once more.

I'm originally from Glasgow, Scotland but moved to Canada in 2004. Started listening to Dance Music in 86, bought my first set of decks in 1995. Studied Contemporary Popular Music and Dance Music Production at James Watt College in Greenock, Scotland. On my Soundcloud I will be creating playlists of tracks that I like from SoundCloud as well as a DJ mixes. I will also continue to upload my own tracks and mixes as well. My taste in Dance Music is very broad ranging from Techno to Drum & Bass. You can also check out my playlists on Spotify where you can hear tracks that I like from over the years as well as my Twitch channels where you can watch various DJ's that are on my automimic recommendation lists (Used to be automatic Host list). You can find the links on my Soundcloud profile. I have updated all twitch channels. Over time some DJ's on my lists might change on my channels.

Seven Villas names a group of villages situated on east Cantabria - Spain. Known for its monuments from the XVI and landscapes, those villages saw how Pablo Bolivar grew up at the same time he developed his passion for music and his homeland.

Today, Seven Villas becomes his personal project, a platform specially created to publish music that match his definition of "Musica para Estar", introducing new talented artists and combining their original works with interpretations by his favourites underground artists.
