Vancouver indie pop band, Sleuth just released the music video for their track “Sick Days” ahead of their 7 song, sophomore album, Gold (Lost Sound Tapes and Jigsaw Records). The anticipated release date May 29th with pre-orders available now on Lost Sound Tapes’ Bandcamp, promising a solid gold cassette with digital download, and CD pre-orders forthcoming through Jigsaw Records.

The highly topical video features members (Julian Bowers, Jasper Lastoria, Jon Manning and Oliver McTavish-Wisden) making the best of a bad situation filming themselves in isolation amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. They're experiencing both the mundane, frustrating, and occasionally funny aspects of social distancing. If local situations improve, the record release party was set at Red Gate Arts Society May 30th with Flying Fish Cove, Maneater and Primp but instead Sleuth will be organizing a virtual gathering.

The third single from Ancient Channels, ‘Pangs’, is a heavy and immersive contribution to the dream pop landscape with pummeling drums, ethereal synths, stark reverberated guitars and dreamy delay- ridden vocals.

‘Pangs’ is a meditation on the ephemeral nature of time and the human feelings that are borne of uncertainty: confronting the unwavering and the unpredictable one discovers when looking within. In direct conflict with the plodding, lesser tempo of the song that serves as a crucial reminder that we are more than the sum of our thoughts.
