Just in time for the European summer season, we are happy to announce this divergent cocktail of a compilation by our Bavarian beer-belly blaster, DJ sG4rY. Being with us since the first hours of the label, he strikes again with his thoughtful collection of Sangomesque music, underlined with stunning art by FIASCÕ, and mastering by DeepBeat Audio.

This collection of tracks manifests a personal journey between light and shadow of the past 18 months – making the best use of this time to critically reflect our way of how we indulge in consumption, traveling, and sustainability. Reflection and deceleration in order to find new ways of accessing music and mindfulness are the guiding motifs of this release.

Over the last year the two Brothers from different mothers have been busy looking for upcoming musical talents all over the planet, resulting in a unique mixture of new and already established artists from all different nighttime Psychedelic Trance directions. This CD clearly acts as a mirror of two quite different DJs, trying to overcome their differences in style and taste in order to serve you once again a delicious plate full of psychoactive delicacies which aims towards a holistic culinary journey, pleasuring your senses.

sG4rY is best characterized as an upcoming DJ with a heavy itchy feet syndrome. Not being caught in one style or direction, he is constantly trying to discover and fuse different varieties of psychedelic music with the aim of overcoming musical boundaries that had been created in people's minds due to the musical fragmentation happening nowadays in the Psychedelic Trance Movement. 

Creating a journey sui generis for his listeners is his biggest aspiration. Psychedelic Trance has to be approached from different angles, using the many colourful vibrations it offers. Nighttime Psy with a darkish but never evil touch as well as Morning and Daytime music with deep melodies and hypnotic atmospheres are equally deployed in sG4rY's sets which are always defined by a high level of production quality, attentive mixing and the sensitivity for set and setting of the dancefloor. Furthermore, sG4rY incorporates a wide range of elements such as tribal atmospheres, crispy synths and a few well placed samples, creating a unique atmosphere in any case which strongly depends on the time he plays and on the mood of his audience. He loves that special energy during sunrise and sunset on the dancefloor and tries to use it for involving the crowd into a flow of certain feelings and sensations, sometimes humorous, sometimes gloomy or filled with deep emotions. 

Being a musicfreak searching for the extraordinary, he is also into Minimal Techno as well as IDM and psychedelic Chillout, which may send you back in time and space starting from todays Chillout, Ambient and Breakbeat sounds across the wild 60ies back to the empires of the Moguls in India or the Shamans in the Amazonas... 

Although he is spinning publicly since early 2009 only, his unlimited lust for travelling and the encounter with new psyconauts already led him to rock dancefloors on Parties around Austria, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Greece, India, Italy, Lithuania, Malaysia, Nepal, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey and the Netherlands and there are more to come ;) For a couple of years sG4rY met another DJ periodically at parties, where both played their Dj-Sets: sG4rY and Merry:). 

They quickly found out that they have a lot more in common than only their musical taste and after quite a few psychedelic adventures on dancefloors and camping grounds all over Europe they realised that they have a special connection ... like Brothers do :) 

Both DJs are residents of Gaggalacka Festivals and label DJ´s for Purple Hexagon Records (Italy) and Sangoma Records (Germany/Quatar/South Africa). Their styles could be described as a mix of powerful Twilight, deep groovy Night Stuff and lysergical Forest Sound, depends what the dancefloors individually needs. But both like to play Chill Tunes too...

sG4rY and Merry:) like to travel with their music, get to know new countries and their cultures, new mentalities, new people and their way to party and off course they love it to rock new dancefloors. 

For the future sG4rY and Merry:) are offering a powerful DJ set with their PingPong - Brother- Energy...

This year I had the privilige to play a DJ-Set at Momento Demento Festival in Croatia after the Greek Darkpsy Duo Quadraphonic (Antonymous and Tromo) at 7 am on Thursday, the 28th of July. Momento Demento this year was a milestone in the developement of a Psychedelic Trance Festival Culture for me. Organization, Infrastructure, soundsystem, the genereal vibe as well as the crowd were truly amazing and have been setting new standards for what is possible within our scene. I am already more than curious how they will try to top that next year :) Tried to play a very dynamic set, slowly but steadily decreasing the pace from start to end by 7 bpm, bridging the gap from Dark Psy to Daytime Fullon.. A few Artists incorporated are Yab Yum, Chromatec vs Kasatka, Illegal Machines, Virtual Light vs Zentrix, Purist, Dsompa, Ianuaria, Spectralis, Mechanical Species, Sychotria, The Skeptozoids, LAB vs Hydrae (in no particular order).

The legendary Sonica Dance Festival took for the first time place in the beautiful valley of Tramonti di Sotto in Northern Italy. The stunning landscape, the mild climate and the crystal clear water equally contributed to the festival such as the well balanced and very tasteful line up (with 9 Sangoma Records acts involved !!). I had the honour to play in the first night of the festival, before one of my favorite forest-music producers these days, Meerkut from France. I must say have not had such a vivid and euphoric dancefloor in a long time, Italians truly know how to party and channel their first-night-euphoria into some truly exuberant dancing-activities. sG4rY is an anthropologist, filmmaker, freelance-writer, general adventurist and Psytrance-DJ from Bavaria, currently residing in its beautiful capital Munich.
He represents the labels Sangoma Records as well as Purple Hexagon Records with his side project Brot3rys together with DJ Merry:) His heavy itchy feet syndrom, his taste in a wide range of styles in Psychedelic Trance and the lust for encountering new like minded psychonauts has led him to perform at events such as Antaris Project (Germany), Hilltop New Years Eve (Goa/India), Momento Demento Festival (Croatia), Kosmos Festival (Finland), Sonica Dance Festival (Italy), Universal Religion (Nepal), Trimurti Festival (Russia), Waldfrieden Wonderland Festival (Germany), Yaga Gathering (Lithuania) and countless other events around Austria, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Greece, India, Italy, Lithuania, Malaysia, Nepal, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, Switzerland, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey and the Netherlands.
Not being caught in one style or direction, he is constantly trying to discover and fuse different varieties of psychedelic music with the aim of overcoming musical boundaries that had been created in people’s minds due to the musical fragmentation happening nowadays in the Psychedelic Trance Movement. Creating a journey sui generis for his listeners is his biggest aspiration. Psychedelic Trance has to be approached from different angles, using the many colourful vibrations it offers. Therefore, sG4rY likes to play sets as long as possible in order to draw from the different musical influences he gets from befriended artists, musicians and freaks around the globe. Nightly journeys that disscolve towards the first glimpses of the new day as well as sending the crowd into the night with a powerful kick off, or even sunny variations with non-cheesy hypnotic daytime trance are all part of his repertoire. He loves that special energy during sunrise and sunset on the dancefloor and tries to use it for involving the crowd into a flow of certain feelings and sensations, sometimes humorous, sometimes gloomy or filled with deep emotions. His numerous various artist releases over the years on different labels mirror this passion for muscial variety and expression.
sG4rY furthermore decided together with his Brother-from-anotha-Motha DJ Merry:) to launch a DJ-project called Brotherys. Since 2010, they play their mixture of of powerful, deep and groovy Night Stuff and lysergical Forest Sounds for dancefloors around the globe and have compiled both Brotherys Balderdash Compilations, released on Purple Hexagon Records. Next to his involvement in the two labels Sangoma Records and Purple Hexagon Records, sG4rY is also an active part of the Gaggalacka Festival, which celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2016 and is gearing up for another edition in late summer of 2018.
